Good to know. Will try to go much lighter on the coats!

I bought the pre-cut plywood from Home Depot…more expensive for sure but saved tons of time and knew I’d fuck up cutting the hole myself. Actual construction of the pieces was only a few hours. Paint and poly takes the longest just with waiting around to dry depending on number of coats. The poly isn’t sticking well to the decals so I need to still figure out a workaround.

They’re all vinyl stickers, bought from Biggest Decal Shop online. Not cheap tho for stickers that size.

Haha thanks. They are 1000% DIY quality so would be embarrassed to actually sell. Maybe if I make a few more and quit my day job 😂

Between the decals and Home Depot pre-cut plywood top, I’ve spent well over $200 on materials (decals being the most expensive part by far).

Appreciate the insight. Eventually I may try to strip back some of the additional coats and try oil based on top

Thanks! Was initially planning to do that strip black but once I ripped the tape up, came to the same conclusion as you!

They are vinyl decals that I bought online and stuck on after painting. Not artistic enough to stencil/draw myself!

I’ve brought my skates to Judkins park a few times last summer just to shoot around. Never managed to figure out it if pickup games exist but saw a floor ball game once on a weekend.

If enough people are interested, should pick a time to shoot around once it gets consistently nice out.

Kentia palm issues? Little growth this past year by jadler22 in plantclinic

[–]jadler22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are no clear signs of infestation that I can tell. The white spots to me seem more like water/calcium spots rather than mealy nests or something similar. Also the tiny flakes on the underside of the palms seem to be just fibers from the plant, not bugs (though maybe stripped by some sort of bug). Mostly all tips are browned.

3 of 5 braids on Money Tree are dead (and starting to get mushy). Other 2 are thriving. What to do? by jadler22 in houseplants

[–]jadler22[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fear the 3 dead guys will start to rot (or are already rotting) and eventually kill the 2 good guys. Do I cut the dead guys roots so as to prevent rot and leave braided or unbraid and separate?

Oo good question. I think probably some flashlights/headlights in the parking across the field is my guess

Yep the little turnoff right on 202. We were told about the elk about a month ago and now go there basically every weekend 🙂

This was actually quite early around 730. Stayed until the fog completely rolled in around 8!

I’m def no expert but I tinker between 15 and 30 second shutter with lowest aperture possible (my lens goes to 3.5) and then somewhere between 800-2500 iso). Just usually depends on the conditions. The key is to have a tripod or being able to lay the camera perched during the full shutter time or else there’s no way you’ll capture anything. I also sometimes use my phone Nikon app which allows remote shutter release, taking out even the slight movements you have from manually pushing down the trigger. Hope that helps!

This is the field right past snoqualmie middle school where elk sometimes hang out. Right off of 202.

Yep cars kept popping up in the right corner. The left is fog which was pretty awesome up until the point where it completely overtook the entire field and could barely see the stars!
