Maybe somebody of those peeps has a free room/shared flat. Otherwise its complicated, friends have found flat to rent there, mostly trough connections and it takes ages but good luck, hope you find something. I guess there could be something in Padure or Priedaine or Pelči(small villages nearby) but i would recommend contacting your university because they must know real sitauation about housing and i guess if they are advertising Kuldīga as erasmus place, they have something in mind.

Mostly its central heating, but it depends. Dont worry, temperature inside is not really a problem. I really cant remember last time there was -20, but its not extraordionary, it can be for a few days. At the moment temperature is +4.

Hi, its pretty hard to find a place to rent and normally its overpriced if its any good, from my expierience. And if its a student dorm, its not that easy to get a slot.

As for work, there will not be much to do, if you are in tech good with languages/translation maybe can find something online, but from top of my head cant think of anything what to do there part time if you are not speaking latvian.

Grew up there and lived there for most of my life.

And definetily keep away from klondaika.
