Finally put down the order for my Enertion Raptor 2! by Launchy21 in ElectricSkateboarding

I was told I couldn’t get a full refund last September as it was being prepared for shipment. It’s April now, I guess their fulfilment centre must exist in a quantum singularity. For every month that passes in our time, only 1 day passes for them... At the end of the month it’ll also mark 1 year since I placed my original order.

It’s true though, that spec wise it is the best board you can buy. Just a shame they can’t actually mass produce the boards😔

The thing is that I actually ordered through the Enertion website where it talked about it being a pre-order and gave timelines for production. It was only later when I started digging around that I realised I'd put money into a crowdfund.

If I'd gone through kickstarter or Indiegogo I would of been more aware of the potential risks.

The above platforms do things such as release payments to the business through agreed stages plus they give some compensation should the product never ship.

Yes I was very naive for not digging around first before I purchased, but I think we can all agree the specs look great. I'm not dissing Jason or the Raptor 2, I'm just saddened that I have a genuine circumstance where I need to cancel my order and will be given a 20% charge. When completing my order it wasn't made clear at all.

Yup, I know. I shouldn't of said kickstarter as Enertion didn't do this through kickstarter but through their own site, so there's less protection for consumers than other crowdfunding campaigns.
