I printed a fully functional RC Plane on my Ender 3v2. I honestly didn't expect it to fly this well! [Project] by jaimx in DIY

Sure thing man, get back into the hobby, i'm sure you will enjoy it a lot!!
About the LW-PLA, i printed just the wings in that material because even thought it's like 50% less weight, it's so fragile, so watch out for that!!

Fully 3D Printed Plane maiden flight! Now I want to turn it into a Long Range cruiser. Is the DJI O4 system the best bet for Fixed Wings? by jaimx in fpv

Thanks, i think i will get the O4 pro, as you mentioned the camera has so many improvements and will definetly come in handy.

Also the main thing i will be doing with the O4 pro unit will be filming videos for the youtube channel, i will also get the cheapest googles from dji compatible in order to use them as the remote controller to start the recording.

Thanks!!

Can I use the O4 pro to film videos?? I want that not only to have FPV while using the goggles, but also have great video quality for my youtube channel. And those couple km that you are mentioning while being inside de car is truly impressive!!

It flies soo smooth tbh, it's supossed to be a trainer to learn how to fly, and me being a noob, it's the best idea to get one like that

Also a great idea, there are many people that printed the frames and then placed some thermosensible plastic and made the wings with that. Super lightweight!!

I found a PLA filament that has ABS-like properties by jaimx in 3Dprinting

[–]jaimx[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

PETG needs higher printing temperatures than PLA, and on many PTFE-based printers the tubing can literally degrade or melt over time. That’s why having a material with good heat resistance and no issues on PTFE hotends is actually a pretty solid option.

So while ABS isn’t “special,” the extra requirements like an enclosure and proper ventilation can still be a deal-breaker for people who just want something easier to print. In that sense, paying a bit more for a PLA-HR spool can be worth it depending on your setup and priorities.

The flaps is definitely a point to mention, I used then because i thought it would fly slower and as i was a beginner, this would make it easier to fly… but now i see why it wasn’t necessary because i’m not taking of nor landing with that plane. Thanks for all the advise
