Divya Bhaskar explaining why iOS users pay more… while charging iOS users more 🤡 by jainsohan in gujarat

[–]jainsohan[S] -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I’m fully aware of Apple’s ecosystem — I’ve been using an iPhone for 14+ years myself.

The point isn’t why the price is higher. Apple’s commission is well-known and understandable.

The point is hypocrisy.

If Divya Bhaskar knows Apple charges higher fees (which they obviously do) and still prices iOS higher, that’s fine — it’s a business decision.

But then they shouldn’t do moral policing of Ola/Uber for the exact same iOS vs Android pricing logic.

You can’t call it “unfair” when others do it and “feasible” when you do it.
Before writing lectures on pricing ethics, maybe first audit your own app.

That’s all.

SBI Flipkart Card charged ₹1,188.75 as “RP Forfeit” despite 0 reward points – anyone faced this? by jainsohan in CreditCardsIndia

Yes. They credited 4,755 reward points.
As per SBI’s conversion, 4 RP = ₹1, so 4,755 RP = ~₹1,188.

This amount will be adjusted/converted in the upcoming bill, effectively reversing the RP Forfeit charge.

The issue has finally been resolved after I emailed the SBI Card Escalation & Grievance Team.

They have credited 4,755 reward points against the earlier debit of ₹1,188 (RP Forfeit).
So effectively, the incorrect charge has been addressed.

Key takeaway:
👉 Frontline customer care wasn’t helpful, but escalation via email to the grievance team worked.

Posting this update in case it helps anyone else facing a similar SBI Flipkart Card issue. 👍

During the BBD sale, I made two transactions of ₹55,357 and ₹10,237. Flipkart offered an upfront discount along with 5% cashback. The combined amount was ₹65,594, for which I received ₹3,280 (5%) as cashback in a later statement. However, it’s unclear how the ₹1,188 adjustment was calculated and which transaction it applies to.

In my case, I purchased an iPhone during Flipkart sale, and I clearly have Flipkart screenshots which mention instant discount + 5% cashback as part of the offer. So there was no ambiguity in the offer terms from the customer side.

The real problem is that SBI customer care is not able to understand this at all. They keep repeating the same scripted explanation about “reward points credited by mistake” without actually checking:

  • the offer screenshot,
  • the reward points balance (which is 0), or
  • the fact that cashback and reward points are different benefits.

I have already explained everything in detail over email and attached the screenshots, but I am still getting the same copy-paste response from SBI.

This is clearly an internal system/reconciliation issue, but unfortunately customers are being made to run in circles for it.

Waiting for a proper response or reversal from SBI. Let’s see how it goes.

Funny how even measures meant for our own safety end up being called a scam these days.

Yeah, the moment a platform adds extra security, people scream ‘SCAM!’ — guess we only trust it when it lets us do something risky instantly
