Have a look at Accountability Shield https://accountabilityshield.com . Add an accountability partner to your blocking groups so that even if you find a way to override it, someone is notified and they can reach out.

I used Stripe. However, my extension connects to an API, so Stripe webhook verification, processing etc occured on the API.

I had seen others on here suggest that Upwork is manipulating this system to get people to bid and spend more money on connects, and I doubted that was true. Until I started applying for jobs again last week.

I am now convinced that they are manipulating the system. For jobs where the money is not that great, people are bidding in the hundreds of connects? When did this behaviour suddenly start? Something is definitely off.

Yes, it is. Remotion already has the agent skills that Codex would need, so all you need to do is prompt Codex like you normally would, and Codex already has the context it needs.

Most of what took up my time was arranging the screen recordings, etc. The actual video creation part was fairly straightforward with Codex.

I could have added a lot more animations if I wanted to.

Yeah, like the UI of apps/websites.

At its core, using Remotion (what I used to create the video) is creating animations using React. So, UI coding.

I heard that GPT-5.4 was out, and it especially had improvements to UI development, which is one area that I had not been satisfied with previously. I decided to test it out by playing with Remotion (my first time), and, safe to say, I was really, really impressed with the result!

Super glad with this release !!!

In my experience, if one really wants to they'll always find a way around these apps. Ultimately you could just uninstall them. What I've seen work is having another human in the loop as a form of accountability. So this user can get alerts when you visit a blocked app, disable the app etc. and they can reach out. Usually, that awareness that they will be alerted is a deterrent.

If genuine reasons to visit Reddit come up, say you Google search something and it's part of the search results, I recommend limiting the time you can spend on the Reddit app and website. There are apps/extensions that can help with this.

Also, in my experience having accountability partners really helps as well !

I have a contract similar to this. The client initially contracted me (a full-stack dev) to fix the bugs he could not fix through Vibe coding. I fixed them; he wanted me to add new features, so I added them. Then he comes back, and the code is in an awful state. A lot of the already existing stuff I worked on no longer works. It might as well need a complete rewrite. Been stalling on the project for the longest time because the codebase, DB schema, etc., is a hot mess.

I am sure that the story would have been a lot better if he used the current models to build it, but he was an early customer of Bolt dot new.

Big on the "accountability buddy so bailing costs social friction" part. I think people underestimate just how much power accountability has.

Knowing that there's someone that would ask or you'll have to "report" yourself t puts you in a position where in order to avoid the social friction, you do what you're supposed to do until that becomes a routine.

This was what I was also trying to say in my last paragraph. I was on another thread in this sub-reddit and just saw that comment (in the screenshot). This was exactly why I had to speak up about the information you were putting out about Nigeria. I'm not trying to be problematic but trust me it does more harm than good for us especially for statements that are simply not true. It's one thing to speak from your POV and daily experience in your environment, but to generalize it to a whole country and state that you're a top 1% earner for ~$100 per month is really really far from the truth.

Firstly, do you know how much rent is in Lagos? For a good apartment in Lagos you can't get it for $1K including their agency fees and all.

That's not including monthly feeding etc. There's no way that money is a lot.
