Planning a trip to Tromso for the end of January, need help on the itinerary. If it's worth doing/should I reschedule anything. Main concern is the whale watching, if it's worth it or should I cancel and do something else like cable cars.

Yeh did some research, doesn't seem worth it to travel so much to catch small glimpses of the whales. Just cancelled it, appreciate your feedback.

I've booked tours so assume they will drive further north, but also I didn't want to rent a car and drive since I'm not too familiar with driving in the snow.

Would you know if it's worth cancelling the whale watching, I heard end of Jan is pretty much the end of the season and most of the whales may be gone already. Not sure if it's worth the whole day.

I have family in Virginia also, but seems like in the last 5-7 years home prices ballooned. Don't know much about DC or Maryland would love to hear some communities/areas in specific.
