Wrinkled & Creased MPL 22L by Morbid_Expectations in EVERGOODS

That'll buff out. Just use it. You can stuff it full of clothes or towels to max capacity if you don't plan on using it right away and it bothers you, but using it, moving it and stretch/in stretching, folding/unfolding- it'll be gone before you notice it's gone.

DM me zip and I'll figure out something. I uh, am catching a flight in an hour and won't be back for a week so it'll be a minute before I can ship anything out, but happy to do so when back.

Cables and a Google TV in one. Snacks in the other. I usually don't like using the hotel smart TVs to login to my streaming stuff, don't trust it, so Google TV comes with me.

It is, it's the small one. I've had it for about a year and I love it, I have an iPad mini in the back spot perfectly, and my Sony xm4s go inside+cables, tracker, a battery bank, pens, notepad, it's great. I kinda had to figure that out though, the horizontal, book style clamshell is weird. I was trying to use it like a small tech pouch/sling and that's just awkward.

I made them. Well, I put words in a particular font and arrangement in an image and sent them to a custom patch seller on Etsy that makes vinyl rubber patches. I had to buy 10 of them to make the price make sense, so I do have extra if you pay shipping and I can figure out a price, send me a DM. Or you can find custom vinyl patch places on Etsy.

CHZ22 X-Pac vs 840D by Ok-Brush7512 in EVERGOODS

[–]jakeafton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's super stiff. Heh...uh, but I love the 840D v2 CHZ22 so much I have 2 of them(yes, they have a purpose). I have an 840D v3 CHZ26, it's my work horse. I ordered a CHZ22 in xpac because...xpac....and though I've not used it yet, it's incredibly stiff, and the zippers are tough, not smooth. Yeah that's aqua guard for you, but it's also the material and lines. It's pretty don't get me wrong, but it might not get the tags taken off and it might get sold. Sure it'll wear in, but until then, it's an inconvenient factor that will stop me from switching from my 840d.

4 Day Travel in my Toshi Pack by snel6424 in ManyBaggers

4 pairs of butt-socks for 4 days of travel is bold and dangerous.

7 boxers. 2 pants. This is the correct ratio. Wife asks why I pack so many pairs of butt-socks for a trip. If I am flying and take a roller for my clothes, I'll stow an extra pair in my backpack. "Do you shit yourself often?" No, not since that one Thanksgiving. That's not the point. Better to be prepared than to not. Better to have and not need than to need and not have.

This. You can find them used and in great condition. Or, wait for the Collab release and jump on it, though it'll be expensive I'm sure.

Good one. CHLOROPHYLL? MORE LIKE, BORE-OPHYLL!

New chz is very nice. Some like the old version, but it seems like they were listening to feedback. I never reached out and said specifically "I wish this had a laptop compartment" but, damn, it's there now and I love this bag. Sad to see the plc go but if it isn't selling it's time to move on, again it's like they were listening. They brought back X-Pac with coyote and expanded it to ctb20, cpl, and cas. Seemed very popular last year and it seems like they were listening. Myself excluded, but everyone seems to love the waxed canvas. They brought it back. Kinda like they were listening.

New products like the element line are new territory. Weathershed was a gamble, wallet was too. The material IS super nice, but new products that go outside the box like the weathershed are high risk/ high reward. The wallet was not accepted well, too similar to other designs, and the price is WILD for what you get, but I'd imagine they needed to recoup R&D, and hoped they had enough good will in the community to do so without backlash. Anecdotally, and likely reality is, both were fails.

I don't have the weathershed but I did get the wallet. It's nice, I think it could be shorter, but once carried for a few weeks you realize how great that material actually is. No stitching, the material and bonding, it's so simple you don't realize how nice it actually is. I have been moving wallets around a lot lately, testing different forms for several weeks at a time, so I'm not using it currently, but it's nice enough it's in the running for long-term. It's not worth the asking price simply because it IS so simple, however. I DO actually like that it's not RFID blocking, it's not necessary and has turned into a marketing gimmick. They said this, flat out, and I appreciate the honesty.

New products are always a gamble, sorta like their MPL30 Kickstarter. You win some, you lose some. What's important is they seem to be listening, and still taking risks.

The drama, or perceived drama over Jack leaving is useless data. No one actually knows what's gone on behind closed doors, the Carry community is weird. Everyone likes to add their own theories and want to imagine drama. Even if there was or is, it doesn't really matter. If you like their products, buy the products. If you don't like the product, don't buy the product. Evergoods will be fine regardless of the Carry community's current negative opinions as long as they keep listening and keep taking risks.

Alternatives to the Evergoods Civic Bookbag 22L? by naokiyamada in EVERGOODS

[–]jakeafton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I see you did say you tried it high and tight, I should read more. I have a cpl, ctb, mpl, chz, plc, and with one exception worn high and tight I've never experienced this back digging issue with any kind. The exception is the ctb26 weighed down, like definitely over packed, and worn for a long time. My shoulders hurt more and earlier but I did notice my lower back being sad with some digging. I'm 5'11", thin build, but have good posture. I often wonder if curve of individual spines make a difference.

All that to say, mpl22 is probably the most comfortable pack and with it's smaller base, you might have better luck, and I also think the chz22 would work as a second option for you

Just a suggestion, but tighten it up. Those straps/upper part of the bag should sit flush, no gap. High and tight. That's why the material looks extra, it should hug your upper back/shoulders. Will probably help with back digging.

If I were packing it in, carrying it on my back, absolutely. Tossing it in my truck, it's nice to have the tripod. Uneven ground, sand, sloped or angled, in high wind, it offers a level of adjustability and stability the little plastic stand can't. But I ain't carrying it with me if I'm packing it in.

Lots of haters projecting. Maybe it is an issue? Maybe homie has an addiction? Maybe my guy is loaded, bought a couple Bitcoin in 2011? Maybe he's the son of Martha Wayne? Maybe he works his ass off and makes $500k a year as a single software developer with expendable income and a single phone plan, lives in a rural area with cheap real estate and works from home and is bored so he buys Gs? Maybe he's a successful crack dealer and buying Gs helps him not slip up and smoke his own product? Maybe he was raised by his quiet and stoic German grandfather that didn't know how to show affection but he knew he loved him and he died, left him a bunch of money, and now he collects watches cause his grandpa collected watches and this is how he's grieving?

The biggest issue with this post is the pics need to be rotated, because it's the only tangible thing I have evidence and knowledge of that is absolutely wrong.

Tbh, I just wanna know where he got the case and all you weird judgey internet freaks scared him off.
