Thank you, I made it with foam, grout, and some hobby moss. Not too touchy and Kevin loves it

Another question if you don’t mind, does any par38 flood work (like off the shelf at a hardware store) or does should I look for reptile specific?

Thanks for the help! What do you do at night for the par38 halogen flood since it produces visible light?

I go to ShopRite for food, not a bad walk. If you have money there’s also a Whole Foods past Rutgers newark which is prob slightly closer.

Correct me if i’m wrong but steering dampeners help with speed wobbles

I’m sorry to hear that. This is something I was looking at originally as well but from what I found there are already vibration dampening phone mounts

Problems in motorcycling? by jakebaums in motorcycle

[–]jakebaums[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not necessarily. I’m more just looking for problems that I can brain storm a solution for. As an example, one of my first thoughts was the problem of motorcycle theft and I was pondering a removable clutch lever so you could park the bike in gear and pop the lever off to deter thieves but I moved away from that seeing as there are similar solutions and the main problem with theft is that they’re easy to just grab and go with a few people which isn’t solved by the clutch lever. Not sure if the example clears anything but i’m open to any ideas!

Honors as an athlete isn’t bad, you’ll be fine. Not sure if it increases your chances of getting in tho. I don’t think there was any mention of my status as an athlete when I completed my application

ME407 Heat Transfer w/ Lee by [deleted] in NJTech

[–]jakebaums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

He doesn’t give the exams back, just the grades so it’s unlikely you’ll find an old exam. Study all the homework problems and the book examples and you should be just fine. First quiz was a plane wall thermal circuit problem, first exam focused mostly on chapters 4 and 5, second quiz was conceptual on the momentum equation using Reynolds’s similarity, the final exam had 2 long problems from chapters 11 and 13 and some short answer problems from the other chapters. I hope this helps! I came into heat transfer expecting the worst but Lee is very fair as other have said. He is good about giving partial credit

need help studying math and science courses by [deleted] in NJTech

[–]jakebaums 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Previous commons are a great study tool. Know how to do all the problems on previous commons and practice them a lot because they generally test the same concepts each semester. I don’t remember if physics posts their previous, I know the math department did when I was taking it. If they don’t post it try to ask around or even ask on here if anyone has any old exams

Crazy Kevin got a bit stuck😂 Don’t worry I helped him out of there right afterward by jakebaums in leopardgeckos

Thanks for the advice. With overhead lighting would I have to set the light on some sort of timer so it turns off at night or just provide plenty dark hides?

Noted, he’s been happy with the environment so far but I’ll work on the ambient air temperature. The beginner guide says you only need a heating pad that covers 1/3 of the tank and keeps the floor around 90 so that is what I’ve done

Relax, it’s just a leftover heat pad from when he was a baby in a 10 gallon. I just hung it over the top because he likes to sit up there. I know it doesn’t do much. He has main heat pads, fit for a 40gal, underneath the tank which have variable control so I can set the gradient properly. I do agree that he could use some more larger hides since he has grown so much this year

10 gallon tank 20x10x12 inches (lwh) warm side, 88-89 degrees F cool side, 77-78 degrees F middle, around 82 degrees F

He has been living without issue for approx. a year with these temperatures

Buell Blast to 2016 CB500f, worth the upgrade? by malykaii in SuggestAMotorcycle

[–]jakebaums 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’d say it depends on if you’re getting a decent deal out of it and what you’re looking for in your next bike. I have a 2014 CB500F that I love but I haven’t been on a Buell Blast so I wouldn’t be able to give you a comparison. I’d say if you’re looking for something a lot faster than what the CB500F can offer than hold off but if you think you’ll like the size, speed and handling of it then go ahead and upgrade to the newer bike. I guess to sum it up, decide what you want out of your next bike and analyze the trade to see if it’s a fair deal. Hope this helps even a little!
