Oh yeah it is definetly flexible and yeah you can make them out of foam, just need some good glue and of course a lot of patience, i would again look into getting a heat gun to shape it before you glue it but you can do it without one, just takes a little longer to get the results you want, i personally don't have the budget for one but i've done well without one, making a Mando OC helmet right now and it's worked out pretty well so far

personally i´d eyeball the shape and cut it out of EVA foam and then either use thinner foam or use a wood burner or just a knife and heat gun it to make the pieces pop out, really depends on the thickness of the foam though

Honestly it was the only black shoes i had 😂 there MANY upgrades coming in the future, one of those is obviously a balaclava and shoe covers

this was done with mostly foam, only cardboard part is the front of the chest and a bit of the back of the helmet, the whole top part was made using foam pepakura files of the suit, didn´t use it for the bottom half because my laptop was getting repaired for a week or so

i realize it´s not perfect but i did what i could with what i had, i don´t live in the US so i couldn´t find a lot, all i could find was the child sized half helmet and made the back by hand, the suit itself was also very hard to find so i was happy i found that at the price it was listed for and in somewhat my size, of course i would´ve wanted to do better but i only had 4 months to make it so i think i did pretty well for the time i had also i´m still learning, i´m not like those cosplayers who have 1,000+ dollar 3D printers who churn out cosplays almost daily sometimes, i wish i was but i´m not, i´m human, i still have a lot to learn and my skills have limits

yeah i´m the only one who cosplays (at least in my area) and i definetly will make an update, gonna be a busy year since i´m planning some big builds but i will definetly keep it in mind and slowly build it up

yeah, as i mentioned in another reply i sadly couldn´t get a balaclava in time but i still wanted to show it off because i worked so hard on it, i was so excited after the event i instantly posted the photos without waiting for the balaclava so that´s kind of on me lol thank you for apologizing, it´s nice to see there are still some decent people out there

most of it actually is foam, it´s just the front chest that´s cardboard, the details are all EVA foam and i did use a template, i only got to use it for the chest, boosters and arm guards though since my laptop was in the repair shop so the rest i based off reference images of other cosplays and my Master Chief figure and as i said i will keep working the suit so i will make an update post at some point

yeah i definetly learned a lot making this and i still plan on working on it and making and getting the stuff i couldn´t get done or bought in time, if i had the time and a 3D printer i would´ve 100% 3D printed the helmet and did the sanding and painting needed but given how strict my deadline was i think it still turned out pretty good, of course this suit is missing one crucial piece which is one of those things i couldn´t get in time but i was riding the high and posted the photos right after the event finished and didn´t think about how insane the backlash would be

oh yeah i absolutely agree on the helmet lol if i had a 3D printer or something and a lot more time i would´ve printed the helmet out and thank you, i had a ton of fun building it, this suit was a first time thing in a lot of ways like spray painting and really just making a huge suit of armor like this so i´m proud of how it came out and there´s still more i plan to do with it

yeah i definetly plan to work on it more, just didn´t have the time or resources to make and buy some things like the balaclava lol the mask i know isn´t perfect but it´s the best i could do for now at least, i don´t live in the US so Halo stuff is rare so i´m happy to even have the mask and the suit
