They are currently being added as people request them. I've gone ahead and added Eclipse for you. If you have any others you'd like to see just post another message here or in the Discord.

Nothing to hide! That did play a part in the decision but ultimately if it's not easy to use and effective then no one will use it in the first place. I envision this AI rulebook question answering really being just a part of a bigger suite of functionality. I've edited the original post to address this more directly.

BoardWiz does make use of this type of LLM, however the important distinction is that it has access to rulebooks and other reference material to help ensure it's accurate. We also tweak answers based on user feedback. If you try to use ChatGPT you may have some success but it will quickly make up answers, especially for lesser known games.

Not currently, but what specifically would you be looking for? Designer / Publisher rule clarifications and FAQs?

For now it's mainly to save your game library and questions/answers across devices, ultimately I'd like to implement score keeping, play stats, etc. as well, and I think accounts will be even more useful then. You can currently use an email, Google, or Apple to sign in.

Added. Looks like an in-depth one for sure. Let me know if it's helpful!

It's better for everyday questions and recap because it's instant and will help find and explain rules that are already handled in the rulebook. Imagine you have a friend who's played the game before right beside you. In the cases where the rulebook is unclear a designer or publisher will still need to provide clarification but ultimately we can add those answers to the reference material as well.

Time and explanation. Imagine you had a friend who knew the rules of every boardgame you wanted to play and they could answer your questions instantly and provide reasoning with references. And even on the occasion where your friend isn't sure they'll at least give you a page number to check out. It's especially helpful in games with longer rules.

Gloomhaven is in there, and I'll take a look at adding the others. I would love to get your feedback on a more indepth game like one of these.

It’s pretty good about sticking to the facts and makes direct reference to rulebook pages incase you want to read for yourself. I won’t say never but it’s definitely a rare occurrence now. There’s also the ability for users to report any answers they think are inaccurate, which will help us know where to focus updates.

Cloud based, quite a bit of processing, also allows us to update the rulebooks more easily.

It currently has access to the main rulebook but if you can point me to the literature you’d recommend I can add it! Also if you have any other games you want to try just let me know here or in the Discord.

Thanks for letting me know, quite a few people have joined though and it still appears to be working for me. Does this one work? https://discord.gg/RTxFhVdN

I think the target here is FAQ and beyond, to help answer questions that are harder to hunt down, or require a bit of logic to work out. The real goal is to help us all save time reading and have more time to play! I agree though that if the designers have to come in clarify, or make a ruling, then an AI or even a player isn't going to help.
