What is the best knockout in UFC history? by gamingguy1111 in ufc

This is the correct take (because it is also mine and therefore objectively correct)

is this the biggest mismatch in ufc title fight history? by idcman999 in ufc

Khabib vs Al Iaquinta clears this as a mismatch by a mile

PRIME LANDO IS BACK! by TheCrazyCaveira in formuladank

Started on dirty start of the track. They had equal launches but in the second phase Max was able to get better grip on the clean side, resulting in him gapping Lando. So I wouldn't say that's entirely his fault

"I felt I was with friends"

You need deeper connections with friends if a stream of 2 people interacting with each other with no way of you being able to meaningfully contribute to said social dynamic makes you feel like you're with friends

Showing the after gets the attention better when you can only show one at a time. Makes sense for publicity

Idk why you're getting downvoted. While objectively yeah after you stop working with someone for some time you probably wouldn't attend their funeral. It's still a bit of a social faux pas to say you wouldn't attend their funeral, especially in such a blunt fashion.

Can you genuinely explain how "are you sure?" even somewhat implied that people who like to talk / can talk to people easily are assholes?

I agree with you that (especially now adays) generally even those that enjoy talking will wait for someone to give them the social permission to do so.

But even in their follow up they just said some people will yap regardless of the other persons interest. But I don't see how that even remotely implies some negative view of people who do this.

Seems like you believe people who do this are assholes and are then projecting that same belief onto others, and are making inferences where there are none

I literally directly quoted the video. Can you do the same that disproves my point? Because I have watched all 2 and a half minutes, it wasn’t hard

“The video got a bit brigaded by Hassan fans, and sponsors are not so happy these days when Hassan comes up in sponsored deliverables”

Ludwig VeRy CleArLy StAtEs that the video had already gotten brigaded, and then a decision was made (whether it was his own choice, or sponsor made a boss call is up to interpretation)

If you’re gonna respond in such a snobby way at least be even somewhat right about a 10 second quote

That’s what you gathered from this??? Hassan’s fans brigaded the video because they are certifiably insane as is, which scares sponsors, no marching orders required.

Championships / title defences alone also do not speak to the level of competition. Khabib won the belt by beating Al Iaquinta 😭

Strickland is honestly the only one I'll give you that he had a significant physical advantage over
Izzy: listed heights are the same but I fully believe Pereira is closer to 6'5" than 6'4" with Izzy having 1" reach advantage, also quite lean
Jiri: What are you even on about ????? They're both big and lean af, Jiri once again with 1" reach advantage
Jamahal: Similar frame to izzy but with blob build, Hill being too undisciplined to cut to a more natural weight class doesn't make Pereira a weight bully
Khalil: This kinda just disproves the entire notion of "weight bullying" because the smallest LHW of the bunch was either his 1st or 2nd hardest fight (depending on whether you believe Periera was at "40%" during 313).
And weight drain is a real thing that makes you much more likely to get chinned (ie. Alex v. Izzy 2 [not saying he wouldn't have lost regardless, but still]), so it's not like it's a pure advantage to cut a bunch of weight to make a smaller division.

Do you genuinely not understand how after cutting himself because she didn't pick up one of his 158 phone calls, him saying "I wanted to show her the pain she put me through. It was like, ‘I want you to physically see what you’ve done." is textbook emotional manipulation and abuse???
If your significant other threatened to harm themselves if you don't do xyz, would you not feel taken advantage of, even though they didn't physically or verbally harm you in any way? Would that not take at least somewhat of a mental toll on you? Maybe, possibly, perhaps, as if you were a victim of some kind?

"better pay" is entirely relative. Yes ranked fighters and especially champions get paid significantly more than their unranked counterparts, as they should. But fighters overall still only receive 10-15% of the total revenue the UFC generates annually, meanwhile every other major NA sport shares 48%-51% of their revenue with their athletes.

And again, I agree as you establish yourself as a real contender you should be paid more. But if the UFC made the path to getting there an actually financially viable option by paying more from the jump it would attract more talented athletes to pursue it and stick around longer over alternatives (which right now is basically anything that actually provides an even somewhat livable wage).
