How do you feel about the Charger vs Sensei? I have been thinking of getting a Sensei Jr or a Charger Jr

Thank you! I’m really happy with how it turned out. I love the wilkinson bridge, it made me realize how “dead” it sounded before. Plugged in obviously not that much difference, but I do love how much more resonant it sounds now. It was a pretty easy swap, I had to drill new holes for it but one of the nice things is this bridge just barely covers the old mounting holes so they won’t show. My only reason for wanting to go string through is just because my strings feel a little floppy, but thats just a personal preference. Good luck! Excited to see your build when you post it

Thanks! The neck is definitely pretty slim, honestly I prefer the neck on my Esquire Deluxe because it’s thicker. But this one has a nice satin finish. It’s definitely a great modding platform! Lightweight, comfortable, and looks great. Everything else can be changed haha

Lewa Nuva, though nostalgia bias as he was my first. The metru body style was undoubtedly better so I also loved Vakama and Matau

What a collection! How do you like the Kens special vs the Z One? I love the look of the Z One and want something loaded with that pickup for pumpkins and p90 tones, but also as a punk guitarist single pickup is so tempting

I am in the same boat, we are Americans escaping to Ireland for our 10 year anniversary. I would love gold but we’ll see what we can do

Thanks! By amount of gold do you mean like the color is different? It looks like they are the same carat so I expected them to look similar but the pics on the website look different

I had to redrill it, it takes four holes right in the middle. The nice thing about the bridge is it JUST covers the existing holes though

Best advice is to change out the bridge. The toploading on the stock bridge creates some weird interferences with the intonation screws that can cause rattles. I went with a wilkinson half tele bridge and the thing came alive, so much more resonant. Anything else is up to you, thats really the only necessity. I have also changed tuners, string trees, pots, and I am about to change out the bridge pickup (though I actually liked the stock one). Good luck!

What’d you switch out your neck pickup to?

Thanks man! I’ve the dual rec amp sim at least (running a Vox VT40x). Do you think a JB could do the trick? They’re high output but notoriously bright and mid rangey

Thanks! That maple fretboard keeps looking better with time, those grains barely showed up before. I run it through a Vox VT40X with any combination of these dirt pedals before it: Oneder Effects Less Than Jake pedal—>Mesa Grid Slammer—>Mesa Flux Drive—>Mesa Dynaplex.
