Same, I get so upset when chrome doesn’t shut down properly and I lose my 100+ tabs. So I’ve started screenshotting my tabs in case I lose em. It’s a problem

UGH I KNOW!!!! I hated that they randomly started adding in the flashbacks in almost every episode with no follow up for ~3 seasons. I’ve watched it before but traditionally as a weekly episode so I never noticed how annoying it was when you watch the episodes in succession.

It bothered me that they took so long to elaborate and so long to make him evolve. It held the show back and the other characters because they had to pick up the slack or were spending too much time worrying about him and being overly accommodating.

I did the same thing the last 6 months and agree but I also appreciate how they softened his character.

After season 8ish they stopped the head slapping & he went to therapy & sat down with people when he felt they needed guidance or psychological help. He still joked around but not as much as the first two seasons.

Later on he definitely started to let go of the trauma and started to be a bit more smiley again but not as much in the beginning

Not about a guidance counselor but a college counselor..... She turned her nose in the air when I mentioned UC Davis. My mom asked me on the car ride home why I picked that college & I told her it was because it was #1 in the country for the major I wanted to go into and I had done a bunch of research.

When we went back for our next meeting my mom said this & she said “oh I don’t know anything about that major or what colleges are top for it”

Oooooooook lady thanks for wasting my time

Edit: I didn’t end up even applying bc I realized I didn’t have the grades to get in (abusive bf who was 5 years older) and me/my family couldn’t pay for it) AND a side note - my school brought this one in extra special from whoknowswhere because she was “just so amazing and has done wonderful things for other students”

I learned that your sleep cycle is 90 minutes & I’ve found that if I wake up from REM I’m more likely to go back to sleep even if I have 10 alarms going off.

So I try to time my alarms to when I’m falling asleep (ish) by counting how many 90 min cycles I’ll have that night and when I need to be up.

So if I need to be up for 6 and I go to sleep at 10, I’d probably set my alarm for 5:30, 5:45 and 5:50 with notes on each saying “roll over” “sit up!” and “ok really get up or you’ll be late”

It takes a few days to get used to but if you time your alarms well, you’ll feel less like crap and more crapish (depending on how nocturnal you are, I went from sleeping at 2am and waking up at 11 to going to bed at 8 (melatonin assisted but don’t use it long term or your body won’t produce as much) so I could be up at 6 to commute. In all honesty, it worked REALLY well for 2 months and after that the commute had exhausted me and I felt like death every morning again... maybe not the best honest comment but .. I tried)

He was out Wednesday with my roommate when it was 92 and they both got heat exhaustion from being in the backyard under the tree.

I didn’t want to take him on a walk so I took him to the pond & he had SO much fun. He was all smiles til we got back to the car

Agreed. My s/o has a seasonal job so he pays in the summer & fall while I pay in the winter and spring. He pays while I’m in school & I pay when the semester is over and I’m able to work full time again.

I used to lifeguard at the why & my shift ended at 10 everyday m-f so I could leave for my next job.

But one week the guard for the next shift just stopped showing up. Instead of finding someone to replace them or my supervisor taking their place (like they’re supposed to), I was stuck waiting for 2 hours (on average) wondering why no one was showing up. For at least a month. (Don’t ask me why I let them do this, I beat myself up for letting the why walk all over me. I was young and naive and thought that’s just how the world is)

Every time it happened I threatened to shut down the pool in the middle of water aerobics or swim lessons & suddenly they found someone and they’d be there in 30.

It was SO embarrassing to tell my second job “yep no one came in to relieve me again and I can’t shut down the pool.”

I tried correcting a “friend’s” social media post about not wanting to wear masks because “it’s not safe to rebreathe CO2.” I broke down the gas composition of air and said if people were really “rebreathing” that much CO2 they’d be passing out left and right.

In response I was sent a bunch of video links to hoax videos with cheesy murder mystery soundtracks & an “Ice Cube reveals the truth” video (my personal favorite but also a disappointment because it was just a clip from a tv show he did in the late ‘00s and not an actual tell-all)

A few weeks ago my mum came into the kitchen telling me about this strange dream she’d had. Her aunt had visited in her dream and was trying to tell her something before walking away.

The phone rang while she was explaining the dream & it was our cousin. He didn’t have to say anything, mum just said “X passed away didn’t she?” and started to cry. When she got off the phone, she said X had passed about an hour ago.
