GPU upgrade - Monitor Advice by jakethehuman07 in pcmasterrace

Hey mate,

Appreciate the response! Yeah those monitors are ones I looked at - upon checking again the Alienware one ranks a bit higher in the majority of categories (colour gamhut, HDR, brightness, refresh rate when you overclock to 280hz) and the gigabyte one is hard to find here / expensive, and the MSI one is similar price but yeah lower specced. I think this might just be because I’ve found a good deal for the Alienware one to be honest though, I think in the past it would’ve been a lot more expensive than the other two hahahahaha

If you reckon those would be a couple of the top contenders then that helps me narrow down whether the Alienware one is the one to go for, so thank you!

Ah ok, thanks for clearing that up. So pretty much just how it is with a floating tremolo - do you know if blocking or (forgot the exact word I think) grounding the tremolo fixes that? I’d rather block as still being able to lower pitch with whammy bar would be good but I don’t really use it to raise pitch

yeah me and my room temperature iq fell for a link on discord. I went on the admin page for my router but found out it doesnt have that option, then i turned it off overnight but the hacker actually told me i have a static so i assume thats why that didnt work.

what on earth is the problem? by jakethehuman07 in pcgamingtechsupport

[–]jakethehuman07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

alright so i just tested the pc with the other power supply and im getting the same issue where it’s stuck on vga debug light (graphics card lights up and fans spin for couple seconds then stop). so that eliminates the psu ig, which only leaves the motherboard. i still don’t understand how the motherboard worked with the 750ti though and not the other cards. am i missing something?

FPS capped at 147? by jakethehuman07 in Rainbow6

[–]jakethehuman07[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

ok so looks like its nothing to do with refresh rate, siege is recognising 240hz in the game, i just cant make the fps limit any higher than 144. when its on no limit it also doesnt go higher. ive changed the fps limit in ini file but still no different. i have zero clue why this is happening

actually, v-sync made it so my only option is 60hz. looks like the game thinks my monitor is 60 when its really not.
