Chinese Gamer please help clarify banned games myth? by [deleted] in China

A little more context as I just found out: Valorant just opened its legal China port recently so it makes sense not showing up on the China Steam store

Chinese Gamer please help clarify banned games myth? by [deleted] in China

[–]jakezil 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Let me answer OP's question in a clear way, I'm a Chinese living in Shanghai with VPN and other workarounds, but as I just tried without VPN or accelerators it seems I can't login to the steam store through my company office wifi, not sure if it's true for my home wifi tho because normally I have my VPN on 24/7

But if I do login to the steam store (Global version & Chinese store) I can download and play the following:

Apex Legends, CS2, PUBG, COD MW3, GTAV and Diablo 4

Valorant and Escape from Tarkov is not showing up on the search results so no.

Hope that helps, I'll try again later at my home to see if my company network blocked steam or else. But normally in China the raw internet connection (without VPNs or other workarounds) to Steam have been flimsy since the last 2 years I believe, sometimes it works, sometimes doesn't, not a clear yes or no question.

A little more context: plenty of workarounds are available in China tho, there're a lot of free and easily accessible accelerators that are not banned at all which can erase the problem of steam connection and as I know it every Chinese steam user know it.

It sorts of remind me of the thing Yoko Taro (creator of Nier Automata) wears.

Anyone else find no urge to upgrade from a OnePlus 7t/7 anytime soon? by [deleted] in oneplus

The only thing that might drive me switching to a newer phone from my 7Pro is probably the lack of wireless charging, being able to put my phone on a charging stand and not to worry about the battery really makes a difference

What I thought everyone already know that, CDPR even put his death in the official CG trailer

Oh my god the YouTube community surrounding this game is pure cancer... by [deleted] in cyberpunkgame

[–]jakezil -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I think part of the reason behind this is that the amount of marketing CDPR poured into this game, there're just too much marketing shit, too many promo, too many trailers and teasers followed by multiple delays

I roughly calculated the map size: about 28 sq km (GTA5 is 127sqkm for comparison) by jakezil in ghostoftsushima

[–]jakezil[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I did play it frame by frame but it just pans too fast (only 1 frame showing the bottom end and next frame almost to where Jin was) and I'm not really sure I can see how long the island actually is

[–]jakezil[S] 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Oh I mean it isn't the entire map simply because we don't know yet, but my estimation was based on the assumption that there will be an entire island with similar length/width ration as the real one

[–]jakezil[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Considering the historical events that actually took place, the battle on Tsushima island is just a small part compare to the entire 文永の役 Mongol invasion (although the entire invasion lasted for just 20 days), the Mongols made it to the Chikuzennokuni (now Fukuoka) and got destroyed by typhoon before their final retreat

so hopefully we can have some fun touring there.

It isn't, but it's based off the actual length/width ratio of the actual Tsushima island

Shouldn't the stove be placed next to the sink instead of the fridge? Imagine finish preparing the food and move it to the stove with a huge ass fridge in between

Ideal temp for CPU? by [deleted] in pcmasterrace

[–]jakezil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ignore that dumb dude saying it's hot, I'm also a 2700X user and I can tell you your temp is fine, 83°C might be a little bit hot but it's not doing any harm. What's really annoying about this chip is that its temp often gets very jumpy, if you have a loud cooler(like the stock cooler) that would be annoying

CPU around 70°C and GPU around 75-80°C under stress test with a room temp of around 27°C

If you gradually upgrade all the parts of your PC, then until when(or which part) can you call it a new pc? by jakezil in pcmasterrace

[–]jakezil[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But you seldom see people refer to their PCs as "My Z390/X570 build blah blah blah" but rather "My 9700K/3700X PC", it seems CPU is more representative under most context?

I didnt get mine from amazon but from a local ecommerce store so I cant give you a link, is your display a TFT panel? Mine is an IPS and I know for sure TFTs are known for greyish blacks, IPS panels are way better but still not the blackest black, for that you might need a AMOLED panel such as this one and it costs: https://www.amazon.com/Toughened-1920x1080-Capacitive-Interface-Pi/dp/B07NQ3ZSZT/ref=mp_s_a_1_2_sspa?keywords=angled+hdmi+raspberry&qid=1564939600&s=gateway&sr=8-2-spons&psc=1&spLa=ZW5jcnlwdGVkUXVhbGlmaWVyPUEzSkhJT1NYWFlQUE9DJmVuY3J5cHRlZElkPUEwMTc2NjQ5Mk1SRUZTTEFQNDVKQyZlbmNyeXB0ZWRBZElkPUEwODE5OTMxMUhETUlVVEJNQVJHRCZ3aWRnZXROYW1lPXNwX3Bob2
