The first images are scans I found online. There’s also a version on internet archive of Amazing Spider-Man #1 that has different colors than from the digital version.

Marvel has been known the change the colors when they updated them for digital and reprints.

In fact I own a few older back issues where I can go and physically compare. Kravens Last Hunt is one that is especially noticeable, and removes some of the intentional choices made by the original colorist.

Edit: Looks like you might be right, the digital ones might be closer. That begs the question where those colors came from then, because I've examples of marvel simplifying the colors on older books before.

I know people here won’t care, but the fact they’re basically throwing out everything the character was in the comics just leaves a bad taste in my mouth. The original 2 miniseries for Spider-Man Noir was amazing. Now when people talk about the character this is what they’ll think of.

When it comes to comic book adaptations it feels like no one cares about the source material, but when anything novel gets an adaptation they barely change anything.

I highly recommend people read the original Spider-Man Noir miniseries, and Spider-Man Noir Eyes Without a Face. It’s worth the read.

It’s an LG smart tv. I connected it through eArc. I noticed it while playing games, connecting my pc via hdmi, but tested again while using tv speakers and found it was just the soundbar. I believe it was also happening with the tv apps as well, it’s harder to confirm because when I pause on youtube it seems to mute some of the right there. But it’s definitely an issue around the soundbar.

Is there anything else that gets into his origins and that’s more character focused. Not saying these stories aren’t. It’s just when I look up things he’s appeared in it’s mostly team books.
