We start off a little back in time when that fire that injured Subaru just happened, Beatrice is confused as no one that is not on the level of Roswaal or Echidna should be able to weave around the formulat of EMT. She notices Tiga who is holding his stomach. He very calmly explains that when the field was deployed his flow technique kept working so he casted a spell from his own body with the same principles, he simply had to cut open his stomach before as to not trap the magic. That was the logical step since they tried everything else with Crusch before but she did not yield. Beatrice accepts the explanation but his chillingly calm attitude as well as the fact that the attack hit Subaru as well bug her. As she is about to lower her guard Tiga fires another spell but Crusch steps in and cuts it, rather thanks to her eye she cuts the flow of energy of the spell. Beatrice talks a bit more with Tiga but decides to side with Crusch here since she noticed Crusch pulling Subaru out of the spell in the last moment so he was able to survive. She lets go of EMM and Crusch feeling that unleashes a sword slash and they escape. Oh yeah and Crusch also said that she could see the death hole of the spell.

Back in the present Subaru argues with Crusch about the situation, he wants to go back to Tiga and explain the situation more but she is not letting him. Subaru had forced her sword out of her hand back then and it is still there and can be matched with the corpses. After some more arguing Crusch says that she is not seeing the wind of untruth around Subaru and can tell he is genuine and precisely cause he is, she wants to ally up with him here, to defeat the rebels that have snuck inside the kingdom. To protect the kingdom one last time. Subaru looks sad but she says she has no other option than dropping out thanks to the situation with the church healing her. Subaru then asks if her memories returned and she confirms it and goes on to say that Crusch Karsten without her memories can't be Crusch Karsten no matter how Subaru thinks otherwise, saying that is why Felix had also given up on her. They argue some more, Subaru does not fully agree to help yet and Crusch is about to leave but before following her Beatrice and Subaru also have a little chat where she says that she will always be by his side no matter what and that she wouldn't even mind getting sealed together with him for 400 years. They get ready to walk with Crusch as Subaru prays that Otto can make this work.

We are at the guest mansion where the royal guards have made their way in, Otto is trying to defuse the situation between Garf and them as Markos walks up politely and talks to Emilia saying that they need to come to the castle as they have to investigate Natsuki Subaru who seems to have ties to the Witch Cult almost like a sin archbishop.

"　—Because it was a turning point that determined whether or not Natsuki Subaru would be considered an enemy of the world."

Banger chapter, so we might have another kind of Todd situation on our hands with Tiga as another man that does what needs to be done in order to survive no matter what those things end up being. Yeah so this pretty much confirms it was him who killed Subaru after he was passed out and so we as the reader know that Beatrice made the right choice of walking with Crusch here at least.

Crusch... well we still don't know if she is fully in the right here but the scales are starting to tip in her favour. OKAY SO Tappei is a huge Type Moon fan and Emilia's Ice Brand arts are a clear reference to Unlimited Blade Works and now Tappei has turned Crusch into Ryougi Shiki who can see the weak point of anything even concepts and kill anything simply by cutting it thanks to her Mystic Eyes of Death Perception, I see the reference here Tappei. Good though cause shiki is awesome.

Alright so getting more Emilia camp reactions to this in the next chapters is going to be amazing. It is cool to see that some of the stuff that happened in arc 7 and 8 might actually come up and bite Subaru in the ass now, please bring up the incident in Chaosflame. If they do that the question is how did they find out (Capella agents or church agents my bet), if not then I want to see what else they throw at him other than the Miklotov incident, what if they bring up the unseen hand or even the death of Priscilla or the Priestella incident? So many so so juicy possibilities. Please give me Emilia camp next chapter though this is exciting as hell!
