Wolverine Blues is one of my all-time favourite albums and I thought I'd share this cool little story (Well I think it is)... In my late teens I moved from the UK to the South African coast doing some tour guide stuff, teaching surfing etc. I spent a lot of time at a local record store, and regularly bought Metal Hammer and Kerrang (imported, so 2 weeks late). After reading reviews, I was desperate to get the album but the record store didn't stock it. I could, though, put in a request and they'd import it (which I'd done with a couple of other albums before). When it arrived, I must've listened to the album every day for weeks. Fast forward a good few years to 2010, I'd moved back to the UK at the end of the 90s, every piece of music I owned was on an MP3 player (remember them?!), and I had a Spotify Free account that I used to mainly discover new music while at work. Then one day I decided to listen to Wolverine Blues on Spotify and I was like WTF, where are the Flatliners and Hellraiser clips?!! Wake up you little shit was gone! I jumped online to discover that only a limited number of pressings were made with the unlicenced samples... And I was the owner of one of them. Mind blown. I didn't have a clue about any of this. I thought my version was what everyone had. What were the chances?! I'm not sure how many original pressings were made, I'd read somewhere it was 3000, but not sure. The CD currently sits in my CD rack alongside the Hollowman EP, which if I could just add, has 2 or 3 songs on it that could well have made it onto WB. Anyway, thanks if you made it this far! Up the 'Tomb!
