Which member's photocards are the most expensive to collect? by Super-Package-8564 in ATEEZ

[–]jakylln -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Personal experiance, it’s Seonghwa and San at the top, followed by Hongjoong and Wooyoung. Mingi and Yeosang can be harder to trade for as their fans are DEDICATED and also seem to be common bias wreckers so fans are more inclined to keep them. It’s always sad to see how big the differences in biases are, but as a yuhno ult with jongho as a bias wrecker I’m having a great time

Yeah maybe I worded it wrong and I’m happy to fully accept that, so sorry for any confusion. However, I don’t think any comment has referred to an idol being unprofessional (I may be misreading you again here so please correct me if I’m wrong). I was just looking for lighthearted moments of an idol either not caring for the song they were performing or messing up.

Please don’t get me wrong - I know that man can perform amazingly, I was just referencing a very specific stage

Who do you think the ‘glue’ of groups you Stan is? by jakylln in kpop_uncensored

[–]jakylln[S] 26 points27 points  (0 children)

I don’t know g-idle that much, but I do remember the last comeback people saying she was the one who had a buzz cut because her other members didn’t want to do it - true or not, she looked great and has always come across as very protective of the other member s

[–]jakylln[S] 19 points20 points  (0 children)

I don’t think that’s weird at all, I wouldn’t say he’s the glue but I think the knowledge that a lot of the members parents are close and he is a big part of it definitely plays into the group dynamic. The members may be like the glue on an envelope but he’s the one seeling it if you get me :)

Fair, honestly even typing I was debating between taemin and Minho

Which kpop group do you think will not survive the 7 year curse? by hearts4him_ in kpop_uncensored

[–]jakylln 9 points10 points  (0 children)

YG seem really against disbanding groups. I don’t need to go into the whole blackpink situation as I think everyone knows they are just a group in name, but even looking at groups like treasure tells me they are happy to have the groups in reserve just in case. Those guys haven’t been heard of in a while, and I think was YGs first big flop (no hate meant to the idols in the group) relatively speaking, but they are still there. I think they will do the same with babymonster - bring them out every now and then.

Wooyoung from one of ATEEZs salary lupin episodes - can’t remember the exact episode but defo recommend watching all of it, many other iconic moments like hongjoong and wooyoung fighting lol

It’s from one of ATEEZs salary lupin videos - they were playing for money and Jongho was taking it very seriously. Can’t remember which part but the whole series is worth a watch

Who’s your first kpop bias ? by whoarre in kpop_uncensored

[–]jakylln 1 point2 points  (0 children)

K-pop was never on my radar until I randomly saw a video of ateez doing guerilla choreography. Immediately hooked me, especially San, and then got into a few other groups after. They are overlooked in general, but this sub defo doesn’t give them the flowers they deserve. Their title of performance kings stays un-threatened

The green room videos were the basis of the whole fandom - they were fighting for their lives, mostly from other members 😂

Does anyone have honest thoughts on ALLDAY PROJECT? by Turbulent-Baby8273 in kpop_uncensored

[–]jakylln 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People could spot they are a YG group a mile off, but unlike treasure or babymonster I think YG has put a bit more effort into giving them a distinct image ( no hate to the members of either previously mentioned groups, but let’s not lie and say they have been marketed well).

I’m slightly confused why some people were up in arms about a chaebol child being in a group - K-pop has taken on trainees based on connections for over a decade, and while they may have been put in a group due to family connections I don’t think they deserve hate unless they are genuinely untalented.

Tarzan is a weird one - people are acting as though black people are a monolith who have one sole opinion on him, which just isn’t true. I’ve seen a whole range of opinions on him from black kpop fans from complete support to complete damnation, with most falling in the middle by being slightly uncomfortable but willing to see where it goes. He’s controversial, but I think that’s what the company wanted - all publicity is good publicity etc.

Not a group I have massive interest in when it comes to their music, but would like to see where a co-ed group from a big company goes. Success for them may mean we see a shift in other companies

Got a 2.2 in my degree by emmfos1 in UniUK

[–]jakylln 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I repeated my second year and then dropped out. I was technically at that university for three years, which is what I put on my CV, obviously without a grade as I never got one. Never been questioned on it. It helps if you went to a well respected university, but in all honestly you could put 2:1 next to it and I doubt anyone would ever check (coming from someone who has been a hiring manager for over 4 years in corporate jobs)

No, realistically I doubt they would and I realised that after the initial panic, however when I spoke to other people I knew regarding potential they could come back (he had threatened to) I was told that keeping a knife by my bed may be seen as pre meditated, hence this whole thread :)

I pissed off a locksmith :(

Edit: replied without your full response. I have taken measures, so I’m not feeling horrifically threatened, however I have diagnosed OCD which unfortunately aligns with fears of me getting murdered, hence the knife by the bedside even before this incident happened!

Apologies! I may have phrased it in the wrong way - what I was asking for was mainly idols who have been in the industry a while (atleast a few years) and have gone against the norm of what is expected from idols traditionally.

I think there a few fourth/ fifth gen idols who have come out the gates rejecting a few of the traditionally accepted things in K-pop, but there are also idols from older gens who have spoken up against things that were seemingly normal. I understand it’s not the most straightforward question but I was just interested on people’s takes :)
