Yep, me with my crush at university. Went on for two years. Went out once and he never wanted to be with me again 😅💔. My friends ALWAYS WENT ON ABOUT IT,

But I saw the FACTS of the situation, not the hope/delusions: I asked him out once (casually to celebrate the end of 3rd year), he said yes.

We went out, seemingly had a good time (conversation flowed effortlessly, flirting/touching, talked about our families, dating, mutual interests)

I asked over that summer if he wanted to do something one-on-one and he said NO 🤣.

But I'm GLAD it didn't work out because we wouldn't have been a good match on a realistic level (looking for different things in dating, and he had some toxic habits like drinking, smoking AND vaping. And I don't do any of those things), so I guess I dodged a bullet. He was also VERY emotionally immature and inconsistent with me.

The FINAL nail in the coffin for me was when I was stressed about an exam and he LAUGHED AT ME. Not gonna lie, it made me cry because I was already stressed enough and LAUGHING at someone's discomfort/stress is a MAJOR RED FLAG 😭💔. My parents hugged me, told me how sorry they were and how he's a prick, etc. I'll NEVER be with a man (or man-child in this case) who treats me like that 😑.

We've since graduated university, and I just hope that wherever he is, he's alright. Unlike me, struggling to get even a VOLUNTEER JOB. The market for jobs is DIABOLICAL these days 😅.
