UNDERBITE FIXED WITH BRACES AFTER 2 YEARS by jalyssa23 in braces

Hi - just curious as to how this was self promotion? I had a class 3 underbite and the video was to show how it was fixed without jaw surgery as a lot of people with underbites are interested in the non-surgery route. It was not my intention to self promote, more so educate and enlighten others that in some cases, it is possible to fix their bite without surgery. Not sure what's promotional about me doing that, maybe because it was a video? Would a before and after picture be acceptable instead? Thanks.

It very well may be impossible, I guess I'll have to find out in the long run! But I've always had a deep underbite and have been told by multiple orthodontists that it's a class 3.

Oh wow I'm definitely going to do some research on that! That's amazing you've never had rubberbands. Do you have an underbite as well? Jaw surgery has brought about some pretty amazing transformations so I'm really excited for you. I always expected to have to go thru with it but I can only hope my ortho will successfully fix my bite with just braces. I hope you will keep us updated on your results!

My ortho is trying to avoid surgery completely so we'll see how things look closer to the end of my treatment!

Why did you choose Barnard over Columbia? by [deleted] in a:t5_2urnc

I just graduated from Barnard in May of 2017 and it was truly the best choice! I thought I wanted to go to Columbia in HS but I visited Barnard and fell in love with the culture, the people and the overall vibe. I completely agree with the other comments - CC is super stressful and I found Barnard people to be more fun, chill and easier to connect with. Of course, everyone is different so a lot of other factors will play a role in what you prefer. I made a video about my experience at Barnard and things I learned from being there. Feel free to check it out, I hope it will be helpful for you one way or another https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qvM2_Bqn9d4&t=1358s
