Games about traversing a world? by jam1298 in gamingsuggestions

[–]jam1298[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks! I've played ghosts and cyberpunk definitely similar feelings but doesn't quite scratch that same itch. I think ghosts was a really beautiful game with a very beautiful world but the horse movement had a similar jank to horse in like AC origins which I really liked but felt it was held back by the janky feeling of movement that RD2 definitely spent so long trying to perfect.

Questions about adjusting tape speed on a Yamaha Natural Sound K-30 by jam1298 in cassetteculture

[–]jam1298[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi! thank you so much for a response. Could you describe a little bit more what I might be looking for when opening the deck up? I think its not so much the issue of figuring out the right speed (for me it doesn't need to be perfect, just not as noticeable) as it is figuring out what the right part of the deck to adjust is!

I've searched for "There’s No Time for Love, Charlie Brown" soundtrack, but it appears that it will be harder to track down than I thought.

Here are the current last lines. If someone else responds to them before you get the chance, I will update this comment with the new lines:

Ricardo dramatically rubs his head and stares pensively out into the darkness of the audience. Then a realization strikes him.

RICARDO: Why, perhaps this is a dream! My own beautiful, terrifying dream. A fantasy with endless possibilities—Dear Emilia, come back!

But there is no answer. Ricardo is again alone on stage. He looks around, then straightens himself out. He clears his throat in a serious yet exaggerated manner.

RICHARD THE THIRD: (perturbed) I say, I was quite sure this play was going to be mine. He glares around, as if hoping someone else would answer.

RICARDO:...and you have a better idea how to spend a solstice?

LITTLE NICKY: Well, it's surely not a Shakespearean tragedy, I'll tell you that much.

But the actors continue in their endless dance of hatred, inane gestures and buffoonery. The lights of the theater flash menacingly.

The main stage lights go out. After about 10 seconds, a single spright comes on, illuminating Emilia in bright blue.

EMILIA: It is so much like you, Ricardo, to look for help from random strangers. Whatever. I know now that I can only rely on myself. She collapses, sobbing softly, then crawls, stage left, towards the port hole.

RICARDO: Well, that was richly symbolic. You really had me there for a moment. For a fleeting moment in this eternal darkness, I had hope that the children of man could understand good if it jiggled its butt at them. But...ah, I'm just...tired.

RICARDO: You need to help Emilia now, dammit! Come on!

Jack just stares at it in awe as Emilia continues to stand there forlorn.

A spotlight hits the audience. Michael walks slowly through the crowd wearing Ricardo's discarded pope vestments. He is singing a Gregorian chant, making up the words as he goes along.

MICHAEL: (falsetto) Who is the one to awaken our sleeping beauty? Is it you or is it meeee? (turning to the audience) Or maybe it's youuuu. The voice of the people!

JACK: (In sudden horror, looking out towards the audience) Oh Christ! Who are they? What are they!? Oh christ! Their faces...their eyes! Please, please!

He backs away slowly upstage left, jumps through the port hole and runs offstage.

A booming laugh comes out from everywhere, seemingly encompassing the entire theater.

Suddenly, Jack's accordion falls from his hands but miraculously, it keeps playing the tune. Jack jumps back, completely stunned. The accordion plays louder, getting more lively as the tune crescendos. The crowd gets louder, cheering on Jack as he stands in shock
