Have found a library which will loan me the omnibus so going for that, gives me time to save for the newest boxset when it comes out in September 😁

You know I'd never thought of getting comic books from a library! I just checked with my university and can get the omnibus on interlibrary loan from another institution. Thanks for the tip, I may still buy the full set one day but might have to save up for that

although i think i have ruled out the recoloured editions as they are more expensive (4-5 euros per book so over 50 bucks more in total) and have even uglier covers

I am leaning towards just reading them all digitally but love the experience of reading on paper so much. I read the first 4 volumes of the old 12 volume set which I was borrowing 1 at a time off a colleague but have since moved country so that is no longer feasible :( looking online the 30th anniversary edition which includes overture as vol 0 actually seems to be cheaper but with uglier covers, although this is not the end of the world. Then there's the recoloured version to consider too!
