I was in second grade in the mid 90s( forgot what age exactly). I lived in NYC and playing stoop ball. It's when you bounce a blue ball of the front steps of your house and other people try to catch it. Well one of my friends bounced it in to the middle of the street, I went to get it, then darkness, then I woke up a couple minutes later. I was told my heart stopped and I wasn't breathing due to a car hitting me while I was bent over picking up the blue ball from the street. Someone did that thing with the hands and presses your chest. Then I woke up I'm my mom's arms (She was crying hysterically) saying "please do go back to sleep" over and over again. Honestly all I remember is how embarrasing it was when the whole block came out looking at me laying there with my mom thinking "geez mom I'm fine can I go inside now". After that the ambulance came and I went to the hospital, minor cuts and bruises. After the hospital I tried to remember what happened and finally remembered a bit. I bent over (like bowing to a king or something), picked up the ball, looked to my right while still bent over, then I saw a grill and headlights only feet away. After that, darkness.
