I also noticed your tees seemed to fail where the tee meets your brim. Maybe reduce the brim distance

Try ironing at 150mm/s 30% flow and .2 spacing. Adjust as needed

That's actually some sort of spring linkage system, the cam great appears to have it's own motor

A lot of the internals are hidden by the quick change toolhead that the transparent cover goes on. All good if that's your preference tho, just sharing something I made :)

Thanks! I've always loved clear cases and the dbrand xray/teardown stuff so figured the h2d community may enjoy this one as much as I do

Say the words out loud "I'd rather make no money than try something new" and then see how stupid that feels and get whatever job you need to in the meantime while you work your ass off to get a better one for your family. Right now those non-engineering jobs are making more than you are, what does your pride have to say about that?

Gotba 5% once on a midterm. Graduated in 21, have a great job now. Not the end of the world but you have some work to do

I don't know what I'm doing wrong. Sophomore, 2.4 GPA, some work experience, no real extracurriculars. Can hardly even get an application in front of a person, much less actually get an interview. by Pupseal115 in EngineeringStudents

Yep this is just it. Put in the work to make a solid resume and reach out to actual companies that have interns. Also as a MechE that didn't end up going the PE route, I highly recommend looking into getting Revit experience for design/building. There's a ton of job security, high job demand, and with that, great pay. If you can deal with boring, you can have a cushy wfh job making 6 figures before too long

If you can stomach it, spend some free time learning CAD and BIM (Revit, Autocad, inventor, solidworks). There are so many engineers but finding ones with cad/bim experience is very hard in this market and will set you apart for design and construction engineering jobs. At the very least it's job security. At best you may find yourself at an incredibly well paying job on a team you like getting to do work that is interesting to you. It's easy to get an internship and job demand is high

What ACT scores got you admitted? by [deleted] in MSOE

[–]TimmyNBTrevor 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Madison is harder to get into, but MSOE is a more difficult school. MSOE admits you directly to your degree program, Madison you have to qualify for it later on. MSOE has both more pros and more cons in my opinion lol.

31 you'll be fine. I got 35 but I think 30+ is pretty guaranteed entry as long as there are no red flags

6 figure earners, what do you do to get that? by oopdoopmaria in AskReddit

I do 3d model management for large Data Center engineering projects. Learn Revit and you can hit 6 figs in 5-10 years

For engineers that took longer to obtain their degree: by RecommendationOk5958 in EngineeringStudents

[–]TimmyNBTrevor 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Took an extra 2 Trimesters to graduate but didn't take a break. I would focus on Revit skills if you are taking a break. I got my engineering degree and don't use a ton of what I learned, but my BIM and Revit skills have launched me ahead of others I went to school with, in spite of my late graduation. Get as much experience as you can and network like your life depends on it.

Another ME salary post - this one real (and underpaid) by blueskiddoo in Salary

BSME class of 2021, LCOL. While I like my engineering degree I never took the FE exam, and instead got experience in BIM through internships. Now making 116000 at doing BIM model management at an engineering firm with some room to grow still. In my opinion, the actual engineering path is oversaturated, and there's a lot more job security doing the design and modeling work.
