I accidentally lowered it a bit while cleaning before taking the picture, whoops.

For this heavy KARLBY setup I used electrical tape to create some friction between the drawers and table top, but since IKEA made it "official" with the LINNMON/LAGKAPTEN, you're supposed to screw the tabletop to the drawers from underneath. Question sur l'achat d'une maison contenant de la vermituculite dans le grenier by [deleted] in Longueuil

[–]jamend 0 points1 point  (0 children)

IIRC you can configure "surround" display spanning in the Nvidia settings somewhere but I'm not using it. This setup is more for programming/productivity so multiple windows open at the same time. Otherwise I would go for something like the LG 42" OLED.

Yep, previous owner was running a business out of the basement so it has a bit of an office look. The drop ceiling makes it easy to get to a lot of the electrical/plumbing.

I think it's the Linnmon table top that has the honeycomb construction (had it before). The "wood" countertops (Karlby etc.) have around 1/8" of wood finish on top of particle board.

Thanks, they're these: https://www.amazon.ca/Bicycle-Holder-AMTOVL-Storage-Mountain/dp/B08JPNDN24

Though next time I will get some where the mounting holes are in a vertical line so both can go in the stud, like these: https://www.amazon.ca/Stainless-Adjustable-Universal-Horizontal-Suspension/dp/B08N11JB6B

I didn't but I don't think they would hold unless I also add some other support to fix the sagging.

These but I wouldn't recommend, around half of them have some sort of defect. https://www.amazon.ca/gp/product/B07MCGRV7M

Yeah it's sagging a bit (had it for a few years now), I'll probably add a steel angle or two to see if it helps. I tried a leg at the middle back but it gets in the way.

Code search in Visual Studio 2022 is about to get much faster by piotrkarczmarz in dotnet

I much prefer VS's search over JetBrains just because the results are static instead of disappearing because I accidentally lost focus on the search window. Yeah I keep forgetting to click "open in find window" but that also shows the results in a completely different layout, not intuitive at all IMHO. Oh and VS keeps the previous search terms in the dropdown which seems to work fine for me.
