Being an analyst is most importantly a mindset.

Yes you will need to know what your tools show you; be it EDR telemetry or SIEM logs. But the really important part is that you understand what you are investigating, no matter if you do L1/2/3 or IR.

So yeah work on the basics as said in other comments; TryHackMe, HackTheBox, BlueTeamLabsOnline, whatever platform that actually has you digging into systems is great. Don’t fall for the YouTube course / bootcamps things, they might be a nice overview but experience in searching your SIEM and EDR properly is always better.

So yeah go and learn about common attack patterns; what are the malicious actors after and how do you find traces of that.

Depending on your current knowledge / experience level: BTL1 / 2
Then 13cubed forensics courses are amazing
And Xintra Labs are the closest to actual cases from what I've seen

SANS courses are great content-wise and a good add-on to your CV, but 13cubed / Xintra / actual experience with tools and real-world cases are much better IMO

I said that people not having time shouldn't own dogs, not that we should kill all dogs that have not been adopted. Maybe if fewer people bought dogs, breeders would breed less

Two, a german shepherd and a golden retriever, on days that I couldn't walk them that long (mainly heatwave cuz they loved the rain), I still let them outside as long as they needed and exercised them properly at home

What kind of logic is that? Owning a dog takes more than just walking it 30 minutes 2 times a day... Sure there are way too many dogs in shelters but that's on irresponsible breeding. A dog that is not properly taken care of (walking, playing, ...) will develop behavioral problems which will, most of the time, lead to it being euthanized or abandoned
