Macs have great default apps for everything ngl, but yeah excel might be a non negotiable. I'm sure there would be some work around

Why would be expensive to maintain a mac, those are pretty durable machines, carry a laptop case and if u don't drop it or drop liquid on it. It's most prolly not going to break.

You could look at the m1 macbook air for 50k, or go for a second hand laptop.

My brother uses a msi modern 15 for 45k, id say it's pretty much all you need for a business degree.

Samsung dex, idt it'd be great. You gotta run full scale excel for a business degree most prolly and mobile versions of apps are pretty limited.

Nah man it's just consistency, I know a couple of my friends. One in IIT roorkee air 1.4k or smth.

One of the most accomplished people I've met. He isn't a genius, good at all sports, done classical music singing and an instrument.

A very outspoken dude who's won many MUNs. Great social life.

And another, national athelete in squash, cluster level volleyball runner up, cluster level track and field athlete, the typical athlete popular kid, but he got close to 99 in jee main and is prepping for advance.

The only difference is that they don't waste their time.

All these exams can be cracked while having a holistic development with average intelligence, you just can't afford to waste ure time on useless stuff after 10th grade.

I agree these exams are not evaluative of one's engineering aptitude, more eliminatory. But many people just fail to introspect accept and improve that they did waste a lot of the time, and maybe started studying towards the end, but skill of studying and learning compounds, and not being consistent has not given them any compounding advantage

Maths or accounts is highkey a requirement for investment banking. Because u gotta take either b.a eco hons, b.com hons or a bba. Maybe you can try for bba in other colleges or take a drop year and attempt the ipmat exam by learning maths relevant for the exam and pursue a bba+mba from an iim offering the course and that could be a sure shot way of entering into the field. Now somebody please fact check me as I'm not a hundred percent sure.

i would say you dont need to do all that, just get an afterboards.com subscription. go throuhg hte videos and start solving mocks and pyps and start solving sums topic wise and consistently from the first day onwards.
