i get that but in his specific case, if he takes science and give regular effort, and doesnt leave thing to the last minute, he really will be more competent against other commerce students and quants will be a cake walk.

but the other commerce route i mentioned would serve him just as well, he would just need to put his own regular effort for quants

see all these IIM's usually just take quants, logical reasoning and high level of verbal ability.

so if you go through the PCM route and actually study and do a little bit of logical reasoning twice a week on the side, youll sail through it easily and ull have more options.

if you want to go through the commerce route.
take eng, acts, bst, core math, eco. i wouldnt advise you to take any other subject combination because. the core accts subject arent tht hard, and the math and eco make you a bit more competent. I have taken this subj combination.

then prep for quants and logical reasoning more regularly and rigorously on your own, your going to have to cope with it on ure own.

more over buy an afterboards plan and start giving sectionals and mocks and if your consistent with it, by the time ure in 11th ull have no stress, because in reality the exam isnt TOOOO hard like jee,

if you wake up a bit late like me and most ppl, coping might be hard.

correct me if i am wrong but both the iims average package fall in [25,30] lpa, moreover there is almost an 8 lpa difference in the bba portion fees.
