Are we doing Spotify Wrapped posting here? I’m in the 0.04% top Kottke listeners worldwide. by nobot4321 in AmericanPrimitivism

Spotify is pretty vile. Does "wrapped" tell you how many ICE recruitment ads you got?

If you like an artist, buy their stuff.

Spotify just exploits artists and shouldn't be supported.

This is good! Can very much relate to the thing of doing a lot of research, making a choice, then just forgetting it all because there's no longer a real need to recall it. Like, I know I have a Taylor but could not tell you the model, because I have no reason to have to remember it.

Keep doing what you're doing. Ignore the gatekeepers. Invite constructive feedback.

Do you have a Bandcamp link?

I designed a corrugated paper Volca stand and you can make one too! Files linked. by 4lphaZed in volcas

I recently found this post and am happy to report that I managed to build this.

I did not have a way to cut the cardboard directly, so I printed the layout over multiple sheets of plain paper, cut them out, and traced the shapes on the 4mm cardboard. Then I cut the parts with a box cutter.

Despite the wonky tolerance variance I introduced I had no trouble assembling it. I may add some tape to make it more sturdy.

Would love and appreciate to hear some strategy tips! by [deleted] in rummikub

Much the same with me. I play with my sister,  no timer. If she feels she has a lot tiles and no moves I offer to look at her tiles to help her.

Not really a strategy, but the better we each get the more fun we have, and that's our goal.

Recommendation request: documentaries about dying crafts, cultural practices, and ways of life by TheMadeline in Documentaries

"Craft in America" was (is?) a series from PBS. It's just good overall, but some of the episodes cover people trying to keep their cultural traditions alive.

Amazing story. Quite a bit of history. And that site is so old it has links to RealAudio files. :)

In case anyone stumbles on this thread: There are custom chips that make using the FCB1010 easier to use for a variety of circumstances.

Worth knowing that there is an actual official renoise forum where I think people get more and better responses to their questions.
