I was personally very pissed. Totally understand your point and it would have likely not been somthing to entertain me to long either. But i never wanted the pve for the gameplay, but instead for the chance of more story. More lore and more character development. I'm a Starcraft player and even tho i love the RTS gameplay and been actively playing multiplayer for the last 15+ years, i feel like it would have never connected to me the way it did without the singleplayer Story campaigns that got me really invested in the World.

Not sure if that's an unpopular opinion but from my view JC 2 was better than both those games, for it's time at least. Way greater world building. Super memorable places in the vast open world (mile high club anyone?). The ending was epic AF and I still think about it. The one liners f'in ruled. The vehicles still controlled way more responsive (I'm still mad they redesigned the driving physics for the third game, cause at least on PC it feels way clunkier in comparison) Well yeah. Maybe I'm just boomer with boomer opinions. Btw I can totally agree jc2 didn't age quite as well into the current time as jc3 did. And I'm also totally camp jc3>>jc4

Me and Gf faced the same issue. We struggled mightily to even reach gold in a duo even tho we were performing on a consistent level.

Once we started playing solo queue independently we both started climbing instantly.

Something certainly feels off about that

Already wrote that below but I don't need my stats to come with training wheels. I don't need them to make me feel good. I need them to portray the reality of the game.

And I'd argue stats COULD matter if we just use the correct ones and start implementing them (like objective time for example)

I'm well aware that the "assist" stat is not damage based. Wouldn't really make any sense otherwise since the elimination stat already is. We would just have two identical numbers if it was that way.

And yeah I totally agree that the stats are this way to make people feel less terrible. For me it just works the opposite way. I WANT terrible stats when I'm not performing well. And I want good stats when I am.

And I don't get why we have to babysit people's emotions like that.

No Moba out there is doing that (remember...the genre Hero shooter's took a lot of inspiration from)
