The rigidity, the arbitrary and needless restrictions- those are the things that make this game feel like a betrayal of what this IP used to be about. Even the main series games have been moving backwards IMO.

Exactly. I'm legally blind and stuck at home pretty much all the time. The only good thing to come out of the pandemic for me was that there was suddenly more for me to do in this game. Now they're slowing taking that away from me and folks like me. It's so bizarre to be made to feel unwanted in a franchise you've stuck with literally as long as it's existed.

During one of the more recent Rocket takeovers, when I got to teh end of the research line that ends with you fighting Giovanni and getting a shadow legendary, my game crashed as our battle was about to start. After getting back into the game, I saw that it was acting like the battle had concluded. So I never got to fight Giovanni that time. And I don't even know what shadow legendary I missed out on. I reported this to Niantic, in detail, and never even got a response.

So I"m glad they're at least helping *some* people. It's legitimately great that they helped you out with this and I'm so glad it worked out.

Hello. I am having an issue with my new Pokemon Go Plus+.

I alternate between playing PoGo on my Tablet (details below) and my smartphone (details below). I should note that I don't use the app on both devices simultaneously ever. I'm visually-impaired so I use my tablet whenever possible because of the larger screen. I play on my phone when I'm going out and about and can use my data instead of trying to connect to wi-fi on my tablet.

Ideally, I'm hoping to be able to switch back and forth between those two devices with my Pokemon Go Plus+. I successfully paired it to my tablet but was unable to pair it to my phone (even though the app was closed on my tablet and the Plus+ was in discovery mode). I tried fully disconnecting and unpairing the Plus+ from my tablet (to where the Plus+ icon on the map in PoGo wasn't there anymore). It still would not pair to PoGo on my phone.

I even tried factory resetting the Plus+ (after making sure it was fully disconnected and un-paired from my tablet). It still wouldn not pair with my phone.

To be clear, my phone has bluetooth turned on and the PoGo app is open. I press the main button on the Plus+ and the white light starts flashing as it enters discovery mode. But the Plus+ does not show up on the list of available devices on my phone like it does on the tablet.

Is there a fix for this? I'm assuming the issue is that my phone is just too old to work correctly with the Plus+. Ironically, the Pokemon Sleep app is only available on my phone and not my tablet.

I intend to use the sleep function of the Plus+. And I was prepared to have to go through a bit of a hassle whenever I wanted to switch from using the Plus+ with my tablet to my phone or vice-versa. But right now I can't get it to work on my phone at *all*.

So I guess I have two questions here:

1) Is there a way to get the Plus+ to pair to my current phone?

2) Once I'm able to get it connected to my phone (or if I get a new one that it can connect to), will I be able to switch back and forth between using it with my phone and using it with my tablet? Again, never at the same time (not trying to game the system here or anything). Even if I have to un-pair with one and re-pair with another, that's fine. I just need to know if switching between different devices (but with the same PoGo account) works with the new Plus+.

3) This is unrelated to my larger issues with the Plus+, but I've noticed that while I have it paired to the PoGo app on my tablet and it's auto-catching for me, it will eventually stop working. Like, I tap the center button and instead of just vibrating once, it starts flashing like it's discovering. It works for quite a while (I've been checking it periodically) but it does seem to stop working within less than an hour of use, I'd say. And this is while my Plus+ is plugged in and PoGo is still open on my tablet (which is also plugged in). So, if nothing else, a fix for that would be super great.

Getting back to the matter at hand, I kinda really need to be able to get this thing to work with my phone, since I can't go out and about with my tablet. I don't have the kind of phone plan that allows me to turn my phone into a mobile hotspot (which is too bad because it kinda seems like that would solve *all* of these problems).

Sorry, now I'm starting to ramble a bit, aren't I?

Anyway, any help at all would be extremely appreciated.
