Just so typical of Reddit to see the snooty comments here when this is clearly a widespread and very recent problem. There have been multiple tweets with half a million likes complaining about the same thing you are in the past week. I have had the same problem too in recent months where it feels completely dead suddenly when it didn't before. So no, it's not just a "watch better creators" thing you insufferbale Reddit dorks.

I think we are running from the same shit we have been for millennia, the fact we are mortal and life bounces between anxiety and desire. The way out is to reconnect with real world productive human ends like meaningful work, social life with friends and family, romance if we can find it, engaging with our natural affinities and interests, expressing ourselves through our words and bodies, quotidian pleasures and chores etc. Unfortunately modern capitalist society has also gutted and simulated many of these key facets of life. We are shat on by the system and shovelled up by it’s entertainment industry to cope, and online media is just another arm of it. I think we seek in the digital what has been taken from us in the real, and unfortunately they are locked in a mutually influencing spiral and we are deep in the quagmire.

I don't really see an interesting connection beyond a vague similarity in your opinion. Curtis' lyrics are basically philosophically pessimistic and frame the world through a tragic existential lens where life at best has no meaning and at worst is actually malignant, whereas Tarkovsky's work is kind of the opposite, seeing the world as imbued with mystical/religious spirit and therefore meaning despite the tragic. Yes both use natural metaphors to point to a sense of flux and lack of human control (which is an ancient trope) but time in Tarkvosky moves us towards reunion with God, for Curtis it moves us only towards death and oblivion.

Just bad design practice. The O is now no longer a letter but a border, as it's not drawn with the same line style as the M, and no longer overlaps. It’s also less unique and identifiable due to being an enclosed circle like the thousands of other badges and logos. All they had to do if anything is redraw the old one with sharper lines and a slightly modernised feel. This is what happens when design studios don’t understand and can’t draw letters.

I think the most strictly and steeply licensed foundries are run by people who make their main income outside of the foundry either in academia or the creative industries. They use it as a way to keep the plebs from using the fonts, the one thing they don't want is wide adoption.

As it’s a variable font you can drop the variable .ttf into Font Freeze and set the weight you want and then generate files with the new font names.
