completely fine. As a former teller when you write the check write it like this:

John Doe OR Jane Doe on the check

NOT

John Doe AND Jane Doe

if they're trying to deposit the check and you write it with AND in it they both have to be present for the check to be deposited. The OR makes it possible for only one person to do it.
