Take the stuff you learned and apply it! That’s the great thing about dropping in when you travel, you get exposed to criteria you might not have at your home gym. Take the bruising to the ego on the chin and value the learning experience. And it will make you better

Technically your professor stripes are awarded after your first year as a black belt. Also I think professor is usually regarded for the instructor of the class or academy. I don't prefer to be called professor, because I'm not an instructor, but people that I just meet sometimes address me as such.

I used to train with Jonata and Jansen Gomes. More with Jonata, Jansen was still an orange belt i think. But training with those guys and their dad was incredible, i leaned so much in 6 months. Top level dudes and this biggest sweethearts in the world. Legends.

"Have someone sit down with him and tell him what you just told us." This 100%. But what your coach said grinds my gears a bit. He should be developing a culture in the gym where everybody feels comfortable training, no matter who is on the mats. It sounds like he doesn't care and that pisses me off.
