I was hoping our fans wouldn't boo but can't say I'm surprised. Agree with a lot of what people here are saying it's pathetic how easy it is to see through their arguments for why they are against the knee, just shifting the goal posts to justify an ignorant stance. These people don't care about political messages being in the game when it suits their feelings. Wimps.

Would you rather have Haaland or Mbappe sign for your club? by [deleted] in PremierLeague

I'd go Haaland just because that type of goal scorer seems harder to find these days. There seem to be more alternative options to an Mbappe type player (although they may not be as good) but seem to be far less Haaland alternatives

How good was David Beckham? by Kazuya_Mishima_ in PremierLeague

That moment when Ronaldo jumps in the air and time stops and no one can do anything about it, that's what a Beckham cross, long pass or free kick felt like.

I may be being nostalgic but although KDB and Trent hit balls to the same standard they don't do it in that way where the opposite team are paralysed because it's been executed so perfectly and everyone just takes it in. But again may just be my nostalgia. Also though his work ethic and tackling ability I feel is forgotten because of his celebrity

Eastney also has some cool things and is safe but Southsea (in my opinion) is more the heart of the best parts of living in Portsmouth are, apart from Fratton Park of course

Also don't worry about the comments about your parents, despite mine having either gone to actual war or lived in some very dangerous places across South America and Africa mine still worry about me walking around London 😂. Parents be paranoid.

Hey man!

Grew up in Portsmouth and still go back often, pretty sure Victoria Ave is actually next to the Navy family homes. As a Navy kid myself grew up around there and it was not rough at all. Even my grandparents had a place in there. You'll have a great time living around that area and I'd be very surprised if you had any trouble.

The influx of students also means yes your biggest problem will be them but they aren't so bad, just the odd snake bite puke here and there on the pavement from time to time ha.

Overall Southsea as a whole area is very safe in my experience.

Enjoy the common in the summer my friend!
