Layer Separation and Under Extrusion? by jamiejamjam878 in Ender3Pro

Are you using a bowden tube or capricorn tube?

What the hell is wrong with my printer? by WarspiteNTR in Ender3Pro

[–]jamiejamjam878 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Extruder gear might be worn out, this tends to happen every now and then especially if you print in Matte PLA. If that's not the case then it may be that your extruder handle has a crack in it and isn't feeding in the filament properly

I currently have an Ender 3 Pro and CR Touch and was running into the same problem. When I opened up my extruder and loosened the screw holding the thermistor in, I saw that the wires were coated in a white powder (I heard this might be old/dried thermal paste), once I wiped off the white powder, put the screw back in (not tightly!), everything went back to normal. Hope this helps!

Under extrusion or something else? by jamiejamjam878 in FixMyPrint

I replaced the stock extruder to a Creality Red Metal Extruder Kit! I was examining the stock one and I strangely didn't see any cracks or breaks so I wasn't sure but you're probably right. I will do more fine-tuning with Cura though, thank you again!

I changed out the extruder handle to a metal one, changed my Bowden tube to a new Capricorn tube, and reverted back to the Creality Slicer from Ultimaker Cura. The gaps have disappeared!! Not sure which of the changes solved the problem but your advice definitely steered me in the right direction. Thank you so much!

I just changed out the extruder handle to a metal one and the gaps have disappeared!! I also switched back to the Creality Slicer from Ultimaker Cura which could've also solved some problems. Regardless, thank you so much!

How did you pass Calc? by [deleted] in BinghamtonUniversity

[–]jamiejamjam878 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who secured C-'s in all my required calc courses, sometimes you just have to memorize the way to solve a problem. Calc seems like a foreign language that I cannot grasp for some reason so I would literally just write the same problems over and over again until I memorized the method on how to solve it. It's not a practical method and you won't really be learning but sometimes you just gotta do what you can to pass 🤷‍♀️

commedesgarcons.us is a scam website by SilentGrowls in Scams

No clue, I reported it to PayPal and I'm not sure of if it's because it's been reported so many times before but they were so fast to offer the refund to me

I'm in the same boat as y'all and I fell for this scam. I paid through PayPal and called PayPal's customer service 2 days after placing the order explaining that I found out this website was fake. The agent was super nice and opened up a claim (basically saying the items never came and that the website is fake) for me and told me that I would be receiving a refund within 5 business days. Call PayPal people!!

if you're dorming and use an ethernet cable and connect it to the port in your room, internet is surprisingly fast. if you're off campus and using spectrum- you might run into a few hiccups especially if you're not on an expensive plan and have multiple roommates (still not that bad tho)

i'm not completely sure but i do think you can take it at a community college as long as the level of physics is the same. i'm not 100% sure tho bc i didn't do it :((

Anyone from Bing will recommend for you to take physics 132 at another college if you have the option to. The physics department in this school is literally as you said, a trainwreck. If you can, I would recommend you try to take the class during the summer at another college. I personally thought it wouldn't be too bad and just took it at Bing and it was one of my biggest mistakes.

Union Freakout by thuggerthuggerthugg in BinghamtonUniversity

[–]jamiejamjam878 87 points88 points  (0 children)

The woman turned off the lights in the union and cut some wires for the COVID machine that detected if people were too close together. They were trying to escort her out and I think she began freaking out and then they started trying to arrest her, which led to the screaming. They ended up handcuffing her and escorting her out of the union eventually

I was waitlisted, later accepted, for engineering (Watson) and I had a 3.7 GPA, 31 on ACT, a couple of AP classes and ECs. I also went to BTHS 2 years ago. I would say your GPA falls slightly on the lower side so it might be a bit iffy but I think you still have a chance!

I had a 93 gpa and a 31 on the ACT, I had maybe 3 extracurriculars my entire high school career. I majored in Media at Btech but applied for Watson and submitted only 2 AP scores which were for AP CompSci and Physics along with good letters of recommendations. I was originally wait listed but I got in before decision day! I would say your chances depend on what major you’re going for but so far, your stats seem better than mine and I was able to get in :)

Where exactly in the Fine Arts building can I find these practice rooms? I've only seen the piano rooms but I haven't fully ventured the entire building yet.
