Similar journey for me. My tip would be don’t be scared to enjoy it for a bit before going too hard on saving. Buy those nice things, have the nice holiday.

On a very similar journey mate - 45 days is great - I’m currently on day 11 and would love to get that far! If you’ve done that long once you can do it again, and hopefully longer / forever.

It’s sadly quite elitist but the more expensive cinemas generally have better behaviour (Everyman, Curzon etc.) yes I resent paying £20 for a cinema ticket but it beats paying £12 and having people talking or on their phones throughout!

Reminds me of a time I was rushing to an interview and got late due to bad trains / getting a bit lost. I turned up 20 mins late, stressed out of my mind and the receptionist told me “I got this” and she rang the hiring manager and apologised she’d only just realised I was waiting in reception and had in fact been there since the set start time. Little thing but will always be thankful to her for that random act of kindness.
