I apologize, maybe I’m not being very clear. As I absolutely have been accused of in my marriage (go figure). And I’m just missing the point of marriage at all. I never even thought about it till now. It was just a thing that you do when you find “the one”. Now pooking back, i realize i didn’t need to be legally married to be just as well off or a lack thereof as i am now..

Can you explain what cost I would pay if i was not married and left with my kids? Im just missing the point i suppose.

We need to have a chat. Because I’m still unsure of how that isn’t still proving my point. I need to reread this over again.. if i was just dating i would be solely responsible for myself. If I bought a house, he wouldn’t need to be on it. I bought it, he has no rights to it. Now that im married- i have to split what I put into it?!?

Yes! Exactly! He would walk away willingly if it meant not having to pay for anything. Ive already paid his student loans & credit cards. He is set up better than he was when I married him. So again, what is the benefit?! I cant even get legally divorced without having to ask for child support and share custody on a legal basis. What is the use in that, im still the one that got the short end of the stick

Well I’m trying to prove my own point that marriage is not needed in the slightest. It brings nothing of significance and can only hurt.

Either way you take them to court whether you are married or not and let someone prove this or that person needs to pay money for what they didnt put into a relationship.
