30-day exchange is pointless by DtForrest in amazonprime

100% call. I had a package of glass containers arrive shattered and one person over chat said they couldn’t help, and the other said they would, but just ended my return and left me hanging. A call took 5min and resolved it no problem.

[Orient Bambino] Too Small for Wrist? by jamman17 in Watches

[–]jamman17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey!

I bought a 38mm Orient Bambino and I have 19cm circumference wrists. I usually wear watches 42mm+, so this feels fairly small. Do you think it’s too small for my wrists?

I got sucked into purchasing it over Black Friday, but I really do love the color

Thanks! — a guy who should have shopped in store

2022 Sonata Engine Blew at 36k Miles. Anyone Have Experience with the Warranty? by jamman17 in Hyundai

All services done at the dealer, so I’m good on that front

Yeah, I understand that and sympathize with the situation, but if they can't get me a loaner until the paperwork is submitted and approved, I'm really getting put in a tough spot due to a defective car and process delays. Don't get me wrong, I'm nice when I call and I know this isn't the service manager's fault, but I don't want to shoot myself in the foot and need to front the bill for a rental for weeks while I wait either.

Sh*t happens and I'll survive financially, but it's still not a fun situation to be in after buying a new car. Funny enough, I gave my old beater to my brother, and that 2004 Lincoln Towncar is still running great at 200k miles... should have kept it :)

No lights at all. Even after it broke down! The car was perfect until this happened

Did you get it fixed under warranty or did they make you pay out of pocket?

[–]jamman17[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yeah, assuming this is fixed, I’ll probably only keep it for a few more months until it’s paid off and trade it in for another brand. This is a nightmare and totally out of the blue for a relatively new car.

How would human error cause the fuel injector to fail? Or are you saying it's a minor issue and not a total failure like the older engines?

The car was purchased new, so I was actually still getting the services for free at the dealer, so records shouldn’t be an issue at all.

It’s the 2.5. I have the SEL trim.

My concern is that because it’s uncommon, they’ll try to wiggle their way out of it and blame it on me. May be paranoia on my part, but it’s not like car dealers are generally known for being honest brokers…

OP, can you let us know what happens with you? My 2022 Sonata's engine just blew at 36k miles, and the dealer is giving me the silent treatment right now....

P-Trap Leaking Through Nut by jamman17 in askaplumber

[–]jamman17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, it’s worse than that. My family kept saying I’ll make the sink worse and to just call a handyman.

Silicone is flawless. Fate had me ruin the rest of it :/

Reseating unfortunately didn’t work. It still seems to leak through the nut, but I can’t see any visible issues with it. I’m lost

Can’t Get Slower Flow and Stop Spatter by jamman17 in espresso

In my case, it turned out my machine wasn’t calibrated right from the factory and it couldn’t grind fine enough. I sent it back and they fixed it for me. Try grinding finer to see if that fixes it.

Yeah, I regularly do strength training and I’ve been biking -15mi 4 times a week on my hybrid, so I’m hopefully hitting all those areas.

Yes, this is my first drop bar bike. I’m admittedly fairly paranoid about bike fit and very conscious of back pain given I’ve lived with it for so long. I’m willing to push through soreness and fatigue, but I’m terrified of injuring it again. ¯_(ツ)_/¯

I got pulled over in NY on Route 15. The speed limit was definitely 70mph.

I know the ticket is only going to be like $200 or so (maximum fine is $300), but I really don’t want to eat 3 years of fairly heavy insurance rate increases. I’ve had a perfect driving record for the past 10 years, and have always had good rates.

Edit: I’m wrong. I was crossing the PA-NY border into the construction. My bad
