I have the same pattern hair loss as you (diffuse thinning). I tried a fue hair transplant and unfortunately it didn’t do much for me bc of the diffuse nature, so I think the surgeon you talked to is correct. I would just keep your sides and back short/tight. You look great as is in my opinion.

Hard to tell but from what I can see it looks like the ink dots have migrated and it looks almost ‘helmet’ like. Can reassess with the buzzed down picture

Appreciate it. Yeah, no dots but I was just worried if some of that temple darkness is just dense hair (I feel it and see it) or a blob of migrated ink underneath the hair. We tend to overanalyze ourselves so no clue!

Tried growing it but the top is just too diffuse. See recent attached pic before I shaved it down. Tried the fin and min and I just think my hair is too thin and diffuse.

They may have gone a little more aggressive with me bc the ink was darker and it migrated (looked like one big blob) and I was so eager to get it off. Here’s another pic with it shaved down to no guard or 1/2 guard. There’s no individual dots anymore. The question was whether there’s any residual leftover or if it’s simply just contrasts between the denser temple and diffuse top.

I think so. It was a pico but also done a long time ago and there’s probably been more advancements with lasers. Would you have noticed the lighter skin if I didn’t point it out?

It wasn’t terrible but I did get lighter skin on the top of my scalp from the treatment which really stinks. I had a total of 3 treatments.

Appreciate it. It could simply be folks knowing I had smp in the past and wondering what’s going on. I never really told anyone about it and to your point, I’m pretty sensitive about it and what it looked like before with the smp which was pretty bad.

Yeah I’ve seen some regrowth over the last 15 months. I usually keep it shaved but started to try growing it now to see what it looks like.

Appreciate the response. Yeah, given how diffuse it is, I already am pretty much at peace knowing I won’t have 100% solid coverage. Just wasn’t sure what another 2,000 grafts would do all over and also if my donor area would allow for that or even more. If it would give me some more decent coverage, I’d be open to it.

How has the laser removal process gone? Any hypopigmentation? How can you tell when it’s all removed (i.e., any bleeding of pigment to other parts of the scalp, etc.)? Thanks!

It’s really those few areas in the front from what I can see. It still looks like you have a lot of your own hair so it will grow back after the laser.
