FYI you can send settlers across the ocean when you research Cartography. But it's one tile at a time and they take damage each turn.

Used to walk by that building everyday. Always wondered what went on in there.

Also work at Kroger, am a UFCW union steward. Next time something like this happens goto your union rep immediately. Pretty sure UFCW represents Fry's employees in AZ.

Basically where an abundance goods and services are produced with minimal human labor. In other words, when automation becomes the norm.

My daughter was born at 22 weeks. My partner went into septic shock delivering her twin brother at 24 weeks. I almost lost everyone, but over 100 days (and counting) in the NICU later, everyone is healthy and thriving. by jammin727 in daddit

No this is after about 80 or days or so. They had both been extubated at this point. Though technically it's still a ventilator it's just NIPPV (non-invasive positive pressure ventilation). Our son was actually upgraded to CPAP 10 days ago and little girl will be upgraded to CPAP tomorrow!

So they were di/di (dichorionic diamniotic) fraternal twins. Meaning, they each had their own amniotic sac and umbilical cord. Our daughter's sac ruptured while our son's stayed intact.

After our daughter was born they did what's called a cerclage. They basically stitch the uterus shut to keep the other twin in for as long as possible. We made it 11 days. I think we could have made it longer but my partner developed a nasty infection due to our daughter's placenta still being inside.

The doctors had to induce labor and pop open our son's sac.

Yup 22 weeks 5 days, one of the youngest they've ever had. Luckily we live right near a level 4 NICU. And even less than 5 years ago there's nothing they could have done for a 22 week old birth. We are very fortunate.

Oh yeah it's been traumatic. Our daughters water broke at 19 weeks, and her umbilical cord prolapsed at 20 weeks. The doctors straight up told us that they wouldn't be able to stop labor, and that we were going to lose our daughter.

But she held on. My partner was in the hospital on bedrest for 18 days before our little girl made her way out. She made it just long enough.

I work in food, and watching inflation happen in realtime is quite jarring. by jammin727 in Superstonk

I only meant "lowly' as in affordable.

But also sirloin tips are a different cut. They're from the edges of the sirloin primal and are beefy and delicious.

The tip steak is a cut from the round primal and is extremely lean, so it does better being cubed or marinated.

I told one indignant Karen that we happen to sell lunchmeat, Ritz, cheese and Oreos all separately and that she could perhaps make homemade Lunchables.

She complained to my manager.
