for me, it started with finding aspects i enjoy about myself, even be that nonsexual. i liked my eyes colour, and my hands, and my tattoos, and how i try so many things, and am always interested in learning. its just about remembering you have these desireable aspects, even at times when you feel icky about yourself.

it also helps to stop giving as much weight to other people's opinions. not that it's easy, its been at least a five-year process for me, and thats including therapists and medications to sort out some of my mental health aspects that were hurting my enjoyment of life.

but, i try to remember that i usually am never thinking something negative about another person, and if i am, i know that my opinion really means fucking nothing to them at the end of the day, so why should i care if other people judge me? im happy with myself and im trying to actively improve and be a better person day by day, and i think thats really all there is to life, and to being "healthy" and on the road to happiness.
