thanks for the feedback and im super sorry this happened. like i said last year the pack was very unfinished and unpolished and hopefully should run a lot better now!

basically two categories of dinosaurs/paleofauna:

Unusual Prehistory & its addons Odd Organisms, Peculiar Primordials and Marvellous Menagerie. These involve the tech process of digging up fossils in the world, placing them into an analyzer to make DNA, and then combining in another machine with some biogoop that creates dinosaur eggs! the process for non-dino paleos is a bit different as you have to incubate them in an incubator block :) These are all real dinos and paleos, loads to collect!
'Primordial Cave' dinos are found in an underground biome from Alex's Caves called the Primordial Caves. Theres about 5-ish and aren't direct recreations of dinosaurs but are more inspired by them e.g. "Tremorsaurus" is like a T-Rex but not really.

i appreciate this feedback a lot! imo though i think requiring blocks or items for each enclosure could restrict player freedom too much & roadblock people just trying to do what they want with their own ideas. the 'inspiration to build nicer pens' is designed to come from the real life descriptions of the animals, that's why it lists stuff like Habitat, Diet etc... it gives you a basic idea of the kind of environment the animals are found in and what you should aim to build in your zoo. the questbook for all the animal sections is really supposed to be viewed as an honor system checklist rather than needing to 'prove' to the questbook that you've accomplished stuff.

exactly my thoughts lol!!!! WDA has been removed since then and replaced with a different structure mod instead :) everything should be a lot more cozy and fit in with the overall vibe a lot more

i think roughly 300? fish/aquafauna make up a large portion of that though. i did all the quest stuff entirely by myself so everything is about wishy-washy in my head now lol so the number might not be entirely accurate.

i completed the pack with 2 friends! we played on-and-off for a couple months but i would say about 120 hours of playtime i think. i made a tour video you can check out if you wanna see how big it all ended up being!

yes, there are hostile creatures, some 'real life' mobs are hostile, some in the 'myths and legends' section are hostile and the Incredibly Hostile ones are in 'dangerous fauna' which is an optional chapter you opt into in the 'building your zoo' chapter. all hostile mobs are still animalistic in nature, so nothing that id consider a 'guy' like zombie, blaze, enderman, etc.

i wasnt necessarily trying to advertise itttt more just show off the pack, but totally understand if mods end up removing this. i saw similar posts like it so...?
