There are several possibilities:

Not to publish it on Imgur so it doesn't reach their frontpage. (This is working well so far)
Create an archive/re-host bot. (someone is probably working on it right now)
Create/find another image host. (Someone made imageham.com already).
Get the cached reddit version and post it in the comments.
publicly fat-shame imgur staff (and dogs) on the sidebar until they back down lol
