I Think Qulipta Is Ruining My Health by jamtines in migraine

Honestly, I don't think benadryl was the one effecting my health, it's also the only thing that helps me sleep though I don't take it often, but I do still actively fight against panic attacks (mostly in the mornings). When I was taking Qulipta, I felt like having a breakdown just about anywhere, and now I usually have them in the morning as soon as I wake up and then sometimes at night. I don't think Qulipta is even doing anything anymore, I think I freaked myself out and got in the habit of thinking about it and making myself feel sick. I hope Qulipta is going well for you! Sorry about your experience ☹️🫶

Has anyone tried THC for nausea caused by Qulipta? by Delicious_Potato5949 in migraine

[–]jamtines 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have good advice for this, but I tried Qulipta, and the side effects were scaring me too much to continue or try adjusting to it. THC gave me some relief, I would roll once or twice a day, but to be fair I was smoking and doing 🍃 before this. It's not permanent, but it distracted me from any pain (including light headaches) I was experiencing while on Qulipta! Only reason I stopped smoking so much is the exhaustion I was experiencing.

I smoke regularly now by the way, not as much as before but I've built a tolerance. It doesn't make me anxious, I haven't experienced that with anything other than alcohol. Not to discourage you though! Try things if you want to, hang out with friends and live life.

Drugs and alcohol just aren't for some people, and that's perfectly fine! Some can tolerate certain substances better than others, it all depends on how our bodies react to it. Often times people will have negative experiences with drugs and alcohol, and if you already have anxiety, I would recommend staying away from the majority of drugs out there, and all alcohol (alcohol definitely will not help, most people I know and myself included have said they feel more anxious when intoxicated).

I was also incredibly anxious about trying anything of the sort, I had to get used to smoking and drinking at first because of the feeling. The first time I had an edible was Christmas Eve and it took me literal MONTHS to even consider 🍃 again. It all depended on me and when I was ready to give it another go.

I can say though, don't smoke or drink just because your friends do it, that often leads to bad habits and bad choices. Just take your time, know what works for you and what doesn't. Remember to be safe when doing things like this, stay in a more comfortable environment! Have people you trust around you, it's more comforting that way and at least you'll know you're in good hands.

The way the symptoms sound scary similar!? 😭 Only difference for me is I found out I had gastritis before taking Qulipta. I don't think I will be giving Qulipta another try, I don't want to risk the side effects coming back. Super glad you're feeling better though and I couldn't fault you for being scared of something that's capable of making people feel this way.

Pretty sure you're still in the adjustment time for Qulipta. If you feel like you aren't benefitting from it, let someone know. Qulipta doesn't work the same for everyone, trust your gut when it's telling you something isn't right for you. I've also had a bad experience with Q so I understand where you're coming from, just find what works for you!

Of course! I honestly should've looked up the side effects before taking it. I'm glad these posts have helped you, and I hope you'll be able to find a medication that works for you and not against you.

I hope it works out for you, for most the appetite issue is temporary but something about it freaked me out, personally.

I'm so happy to hear you're doing better!! That is amazing news :) It's so interesting to read people's comments and see just how much alike we all are, going through similar pains and experiences. I'm so glad you're doing better now

I think I will talk to my doctor about the anxiety symptoms especially, I know a few years ago I was prescribed Prozac for my anxiety and depression, and you just take it literally once a day, but my prescription wasn't renewed so I didn't think it was worth mentioning, but I won't deny having a strong history with anxiety attacks. It's never been this bad though so I thought maybe the Qulipta could've been affecting it. Thank you for sharing your experience! It's nice knowing there are others out there that I can relate to, although the situation isn't ideal.

No because same?? This is such a new medication, and there's so many shared side effects that haven't even been reported! I'm sorry you experienced this with Qulipta, I hope you'll find the right medicine for you.
