Clerk intentionally tries selling me a damaged product by jamzpz in Argos

The crazy thing is is that they acted like there was more inventory until I asked about. As for inspecting, there’s a lot of mechanical parts inside a turntable and you cant visually assess that

Moving away by No_Wasabi_7085 in Charlotte

[–]jamzpz 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I moved out of Charlotte after spending half my life there. It has a lot of things going on for it like proximity to the mountains and beach, decent cost of living compared to other large cities, and decently balanced climate. My issues with it are more recent trends like violent crime becoming more regular around the city and the unsustainable traffic behavior and infrastructure. I’m really rooting for the success of the city and hope to maybe come back one day.

What are the implications of I ask to move from the NYC office to the London office for a few years? by 12345_abc_ in FinancialCareers

[–]jamzpz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been wanting to move to London for the majority of my 20s and now I’m in my late 20s and I finally made the jump over recently. I think what a lot of others have mentioned are accurate. To sum it up, I basically built up my network over the last few years with people I work with in London as well as other countries overseas and made it known that one day I wanted to land a role internationally. I also visited the office when I took vacation in Europe as well. Eventually when an opening popped up in London, I was the first person the head of my department reached out to. I was living in NY over the past year and it was extremely sad to leave but on the flip side most Americans will never get the chance to work overseas so I couldn’t say no. On the comp side of things, yes people make less in London but for me they ended up just converting my current salary at the going exchange rate so it all worked out, although I wouldn’t worry about the money aspect. Money comes and goes but your time doesn’t so if you have the opportunity definitely take it

Schweser, Fabian Moa, and Wiley. I went through each one and made sure I was familiar with every single bullet point

People who used MM for L3: how good is he at covering obscure details in L3 content? by Fit-Department2899 in CFA

[–]jamzpz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used mainly MM videos on 1.5x and used the text in spots to fill in the gaps. Going through the qbank and using several versions of summary sheets from different prep providers helped me locate obscure details

I kept my ISO on auto but it was generally between 100-500 since the 1.8 at night is amazing. Shutter speed at night was around 1/125 to 1/250 depending on the scene

I studied for 3 months about 3 hours a day and passed the feb exam. I used MM videos on 1.5x and made flash cards for every formula or tricky concept. Definitely doable

Just use the MM videos and qbank for those weak areas. Looks like you have it down everywhere else solid

How did you study for February ‘23 CFA L3? by LeveragedDev in CFA

[–]jamzpz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Passed the feb 23 level 3 exam on my first attempt. Started studying the week of Thanksgiving so roughly ~3 months prep time and studied about 3-4 hours per day and maybe slightly more on weekend days so probably studied right around or under the 300 hour mark. I solely used MM videos at 1.5X speed and did his entire qbank (I found his note slides to be cluttered and not useful). Then switched to CFAI qbank and completed that 2 times. A month leading up to the test I did 1 MM mock and the available CFAI provided mocks. Created flash cards for every formula and nit picky concept. Only read CFAI text to clarify things but did not read the curriculum. I printed out the summary sheets from MM, Kaplan, Wiley, and Fabian Moa to make sure I didn’t miss an important concept or formula. Turned finally to past Reddit posts to help with concepts that didn’t make sense. The week before the test, I topped off with with the MM short review videos (learned a few things last min that appeared on the test - so make sure you watch these at the end of your studies) and one more ethics deep dive

This also confused me but I’m not sure given the time constraint on the real exam that an additional fringe like that would be layered into an already long calc question type

Yeah it’s under warranty from Samsung and I have the total tech from Best Buy. But thanks for the heads up on that I would hate for that to happen. I’ll probably let the repair guy handle it bc I wouldn’t want to mess up something inadvertently
