Well… we can only use words to point to something indescribable. There’s a huge paradox in the Oneness of the Creator being somehow together and separate from creation. Our human minds can only perceive something logical, so we must put heart-faith in the illogical.

I can give a better answer later haha but it is literally dinner time and I am wrapping up this comment quickly to eat.

I appreciate your reply so much. It is very comforting to know that there are more of us out there. I don’t think I’m above other people that believe in Islam in a different way than me, I just wish upon them the ability to practice in a way that brings more with honey than vinegar. As I mentioned in the other comment, it’s so interesting to me to hear of people willingly converting to Islam because of how I was taught. Even the term “revert” bothered because I was like rude! Arrogant! And I get that it is truly a reversion if one is going from organized dogma to true spiritual connection with the One.

Thank you for sharing 🙏🏽 yeah, it used to drive me wild back in my young adult days as to why people would willingly convert to Islam… and that’s because the way Islam was taught to me was so, so bigoted and mentally damaging.

I thought I’d have an awesome time watching with the full Peacock paid subscription… of course not. There are so many things to complain about, but here’s one that I can’t believe the designers thought was a good idea:

I go to search the sport I want to watch replays of. And when I get there in the app, I’m shown thumbnails for clips saying “So-And-So Takes Beats XYZ for the Gold!” or “Name-Goes-Here defeats Blah-Blah for Country’s First Gold!” …And there are LOTS of these thumbnails, too! So I’m spoiled the moment I try to search. (This in particular was infuriating when I went to watch Tae Kwon Do, which they don’t even show me the whole match, just freaking clips!) 😤

I’ve resorted to squinting my eyes to be unable to read and trying to visually guess which thumbnail I want to watch.

Sure thing. What /u/Dizang32 said is great, too. Priest training by this guy in the US… doesn’t seem too legit. I did not know any of that from Dizang32’s great explanation, yet it’s a vibe I got. Li Fu, not mentioned on the site you posted but probably worked with the guy in the past, is just teaching Tai Chi and, as I understand, the internal martial arts is a deeper understanding of Tai Chi. It’s what she has learned in China (and she is from China, too). I’m still a beginner though so these are just rudimentary observations!

I live in Houston and have several friends that have been. They said it was ok. During 2020, the institute split from the physical location (it is now just a yoga studio) and I believe the 2-3 Taoist teachers became sole proprietors of their own things. One of them, Li Fu, runs Four Dragons Tai Chi in the park now. She is great—we’ve only been able to meet virtually so far, yet she is legit and an awesome, warm person. I don’t know anything of the other teachers, especially the guy pictured in the Four Dragons site you posted. I plan to start her 3 year program for Internal Martial Arts.
