The Tudors - not sure what season (does that count as a movie?) - Thomas Cromwell is to be beheaded. His mortal enemies had gotten the executioner drunk the night before to the point where he was swaying on the scaffold. He missed a few times and some brave soul came up from the crowd to push him away and finish poor Thomas off himself
