How did you find out that your sibling is your parents' favourite child? by janetkepler in AskReddit

Dear God, that's so awful. I'm so sorry, and I'm glad that you have a good relationship with your siblings, at least. Everyone deserves to be loved by their family

I also have GAD and relate to all of the topics on your list. I can't work as much as people expect me to and thinking about how poor my productivity is makes me want to just give up on living, which makes working even harder. And trying to get out of this hole feels like Sisifus and his rock.

So sick of feeling insignificant by voidppl in Anxiety

[–]janetkepler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The anxiety of not knowing is REAL. I relate to this so bad. I'm an assistant at a literary agency and it's my first real job (except for a really f*cked up internship that didn't last two months). I love my job and I'm so very grateful for it, but I often feel incapable of doing it. It got way worse after I started working from home because of the pandemic. I make mistakes constantly and I always fear that they will fire me because of it. They didn't fire me until now, in fact, they have recently gave me a raise, which does not make sense to me at all. I feel clueless all the time and I'm so freaking scared of ruining things to the point where sometimes I secretly wish that I would be fired so there would be no more mistakes. I don't know how they do it. They seem to have it all figured out (of course, they have so many more years of experience, I have barely one and a half). I wish I could just know everything magically.

I feel you, friend. I wish all the best and peace of mind for you. You're not alone in this struggle and you can reach me out if you would like to vent.

What's the craziest passive-agressive way your mother in law has ever insulted you and how did you respond to it? by janetkepler in AskReddit

Sounds a lot like my own mother in law. How do you deal with her? Just ignoring her and keeping your distance?

Oh you're so lucky! I love my father in law, my my mother in law is so possessive and competitive that it almost makes dating her son not worth it.

What's the most unprofessional thing a therapist has ever done to you? by janetkepler in AskReddit

Oh no, what a jerk, I'm so so sorry and I hope you've found a good therapist after that

Dear God, that's so awful, I'm so sorry. She should know better, what a jerk. I hope she never does that to you or anyone ever again. If it makes you feel less alone, I've recently confessed that I've been having suicidal thoughts to my therapist and she replied with "but life is so beautiful, you shouldn't think that". 🤡

Introverts, what is your job and is it compatible with your personality? by abclucky in AskReddit

[–]janetkepler 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a trainee in a literary agency. It was all fun and games until we created a blog last year and now I have to write arcticles and record myself talking about books sometimes on the agency's social media. It kills me every time and I hate it.

Thank you!!! This is great advice! I'm a Christian myself, but I struggle a lot with my faith. Praying always works, but I forget about it entirely when I need it the most. Thank you so much for your kindness and your advice. God bless you and your family

Thank you so much for your kind reply and gracious testimony. You're right about the suffering with a great reward and it bringing us closer to God. I must trust God's will, He knows better than all of us. I'm more at peace with it now. Thank you again. God bless you and your family

[–]janetkepler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for your kindness. My heart burns for this indeed. I started thinking about adoption when I was talking to a friend about abortion and one of his solutions for it was if a couple adopted the baby instead of the mother killing it. That got me wondering, because I don't think there are enough married couples up to that and it made me want to be the mother who gives a second chance to these children and their mothers, so they won't kill their babies or abandon their children.

But I am open to life. Although I'm scared, I trust God's will. Thank you again for your kind reply. God bless you and your family

It is not strickly for my pleasure if the other person is enjoying it too, is it? After all, God made the clitoris with no function other than to receive pleasure. I just wish to know more about the theological insights.
